How do I purchase bullion wafers from you?
Your first bullion purchase from us is a two step process. Step one requires a one-time web site registration; Step two requires us to gather more detailed information and a copy of your government ID.
Step 1:
You may register on our site at mint.ca/register. The registration process will require you to enter your name, address, telephone number, email address and a password. You will now be able to add bullion to your cart and checkout.
Step 2:
After you have created an online account, you can add your first bullion purchase to our secure online shopping cart. After you check out, you will receive a “Know Your Customer” application from a customer service representative. This will occur within one business day of your transaction. You must complete this transaction and fax it (DO NOT EMAIL) back to us at 613-998-1330 within 3 business days or your transaction will be canceled. I want to buy bullion online, but you only sell bullion wafers. Why can’t I buy your Gold Maple Leaf or Silver Maple Leaf products?
Many Canadians have requested that the Royal Canadian Mint sell bullion online directly to consumers. We are currently running a pilot to gauge the demand of a direct to consumer business for investment products and we have selected the wafer as our initial offering. If this pilot is successful we may expand our product offering.
