Another beautiful set
This is a beautiful set. Love these coins. The box is a bit of a disappointment though but oh well I'm not buying it for the box.

Canada is a country of incredible diversity—its landscapes, its fauna and flora, its people. And while most Canadians live in urban centres, images and icons of this land’s wild nature resonate with each and every one of us. Cherish your favourites with this must-have subscription!
Save $15 on The Northern Lights (your ninth coin)
This coin shimmers with the ghostly green of the aurora borealis, a phenomenon that has inspired countless legends and continues to captivate admirers to this day. And if one is fortunate enough, perhaps the experience will be enriched by the haunting howl of a wolf.
Your first coin: The Igloo
Inuit have carved this refuge against one of the world’s most extreme climates for millennia. Using only that which nature provided and a great deal of imagination, they would build this warm and remarkably strong structure within a couple of hours—an ingenious pragmatism essential to their survival. Today, the igloo stands as a beacon to the resilience of the Canadian spirit.
Your second coin: The Grizzly Bear
This great bear has been honoured by Canada’s First Nations people for thousands of years, often revered with the same respect as a grandfather. Powerful yet solitary, the grizzly is a commanding example of the unconquerable and often elusive nature of Canada’s wilderness.

Don't bother. The coins stand out, but to pay for "a cardboard cereal box" for display of ten coins that say something about Canada, I'd get more out of seeing the cereal and anticipating eating. Where did the wooden box go? The shipping per coin was a rip off. They could spare the money they saved putting it in a cardboard box, for shipping each coin!

The coins are detailed and have captured the true identity of the subject. They are truly Canadian in their design and would be a great gift for the hobbyist or for a young coin collector. In sharp contrast to the quality of the coins the display case was a great disappointment. In past years the display sets were housed in a beautiful wooden case truly befitting the quality of the coins. This year the coins are relegated to a cheep looking cardboard box that you would expect to receive in a much lower priced collectable set. I do hope that the mint will revisit the display case complaints and go back to the wooden presentation box.

I have seen better display packaging on cereal boxes. Whomever approved this, obviously is not a collector, as many people plan to pass their collectibles on.

On the website, they did not tell you for every coin you purchase, you need to pay every coin for the shipping. And you pay extra money for the cardboard box, end up paying a lot for shipping. I will recommend you to buy the set in a post office rather than subscription.

I like this set, and its case. I have been a long time collector, and I have seen but never purchased this set before. I like the case because it is a gift for a young person and I plan to use the concept of the theme of the coins as well as the colour and creativity of the maple leaf box to encourage a young coin collector. This is the perfect set to do that with without question.

I bought the 2013 set, liked the set and decided to purchase the 2014 set. I like the coins, however I am terribly disappointed by the cardboard box that was described as a prime display box. 2013 had a nice wooden box. The 2014 box, is cheap, unattractive and was a waste of money for the mint to produce and a disappointment for customers to receive. I truly hope this is not indicative of what is to come, for future sets. If you decide to buy the coin set, which is generally a good value, and wish to display the set, prepare to buy a display box from another source.

I was so impressed with the quality of the 2013 Series and its velvet lined wooden display box that I jumped at the 2014 set. While the coins are lovely, the quality does not seem to be as well as prior releases....the first few coins actually appear SLOPPY to me. Sorry, if anyone disagrees, just my opinion. The shine is brilliant and the plastic case for each coin is great so that people can hold each coin without dammaging it. HOWEVER, the display box is the WORST idea....and had I known it would be a cheap printed cardboard box, I would NOT have subscribed and simply bought the coins individually. The box CHEAPENS the display and like one other wrote, I am ashamed to display this, unlike the 2013 series which is proudly displayed in my living room for all to see. I'm also disappointed that there's only 10 coins in the series compared to 12 coins in the previous series. The lack of consistency and continuity make me UNLIKELY to subscribe next year. I usually love my Mint Purchases, but this one I regret :(

I received the 3rd coin to-day and find it O.K. The Mint has really out-did itself in providing such a cheap, vulgar, tasteless and crude box. I'm ashamed to put it on display so I'll keep it hidden somewhere outdoors. On the other hand I might return it to the Mint.

2014 Poor case, takes away from the set. 2013 was 12 coins and a very nice case to keep them in.
