Arguably one of the most defining moments in Canada’s history, the Seven Years War (1756-1763) was the world’s first global conflict extending far beyond North America to Europe, India and Africa. This coin maps the legacy of war while celebrating the 250th anniversary of the end of the Seven Years War.

Design:
Your coin was designed by Canadian artist Tony Bianco and features a montage of the peoples involved in—and affected by—the Seven Years War. Your coin represents the British and French soldiers, the First Nations people, and the colonists; and also features a child to symbolize hope for the future. The group gazes east, across the Atlantic Ocean towards the Old World. The map in the background shows the North American battlefront region, and the banners and embellishments at the top and bottom of the coin echo the typographical styles of 17th- and 18th-century maps and official documents.
Packaging:
Your coin is encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint-branded maroon clamshell case lined with black flock and protected by a customized beauty box.
This coin is an excellent addition to any coin display focused around history.

Beautiful coin. Very detailed. I didn't know much about the seven years war before buying it, since buying this I have been inspired to learn more about it.

I was not originally going to buy this coin. The online pictures do not do it justice. I took a trip to the Mint in Ottawa and saw the coin up close and was hooked. Bought it as soon as I got home. (I had already spent more than my budget on other coins in the boutique. LOL)

This product is excellent for being an affordable coin that commemorates the 7 years war. It is detailed, 99.99% Silver, and displays excellently. The outer box that the coin comes in also gives a very colonial feeling which I appreciated.

Excellent but maybe tried to get too much detail into the scene and at first glance seems to be an overcrowded scene and one needs time to digest the entire picture.
