well detailed coin
I have an affection for moose, they should be on the back of the quarter. They are a better representative of Canada than the caribou.

Design:
Designed by Canadian artist Trevor Tennant, your coin depicts a profile portrait of a moose in its natural habitat. In this lovely portrait, the moose’s head, neck, and shoulders are presented from the right side. The image details the moose’s amazing antlers, which rise from its forehead just above its gentle eyes. Its tall, mule-like ears jut out above the antlers—an arrangement believed to help amplify sound and augment the moose’s sense of hearing. The moose’s wet, bushy fur, large round snout, and long dangling dewlap are rendered in beautiful detail as the moose looks back over its right shoulder at the viewer. In the background we see a northern wetland lined with dense aquatic vegetation. A pond or lake gives way to a coniferous forest and, in the distance, rocky foothills.
Packaging:
Your coin is encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint-branded maroon clamshell with black beauty box.

This coin comes in a fancy clamshell box with a plastic cover surrounding the coin, making it very gift-ready if you decide to give it away at a later point in time, and certainly protects it quite well. It is very small in size, so you may prefer to use a magnifying glass rather than looking up close to enjoy its detail. Gold is an expensive product, so if you want pure gold, I wouldn't complain about the 1/10th oz size, unless you'll be paying more for a normal sized coin, like the size of a quarter. This coin is about the size of a dime. This is a proper sized coin for the price range in my opinion, while maintaining 99.99% gold purity. In short, you get what you pay for. The '2014' year is a bit difficult to read as it is printed so small, I personally need a magnifying glass to see this well. I would have preferred a higher face value than $5.00, but I guess that's what the $20 for $20 etc series are about... they just aren't doing that with gold, unfortunately. The limited mintage is also an attractive feature, knowing that there are only 4000 of these available, which may raise its value over a long period of time, as a long term investment.
