From September 24 to October 1, some of Canada’s most majestic scenery provided the backdrop for a very special Royal tour. During their second official tour to Canada, Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge travelled to British Columbia and Yukon, where they met with a diverse group of Canadians who strive to preserve the environment and improve the well being of their Northern and West Coast communities.
Canada welcomed Their Royal Highnesses with open arms during this Royal Tour, which marked Prince George’s first trip to Canada and Princess Charlotte’s first overseas tour! Now, collectors and Royal enthusiasts can forever preserve the joyous spirit of this eight-day tour with a gorgeous coin. It’s a timeless tribute to the institution of the Canadian Crown, and a celebration of the enduring ties between Canada and the Royal Family!
A must-have keepsake for Royal enthusiasts! Order today!
In commemoration of the 2016 Royal Tour of Canada, the coin features a full colour application that recreates photographer Chris Jelf’s portrait of Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The touching image is framed by an outer rim that includes four engraved maple leaves to represent each member of this Royal Family, along with the engraved word “CANADA”, the face value “20 DOLLARS” and the year “2016”.
Your coin is encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint-branded maroon clamshell with a black beauty box.

As a coin collector since 1966 I find this does not portray their visit to Canada and shouldn't be called as such. You state this picture will attract a larger audience but you also state it is a symbol of Royal Visit. I do n0t believe it is. I believe the mint is the only one to profit from the larger audience.

Hello, we believe the image used on the coin would appeal to a broad range of collectors.

Hi Judy, When coins are exposed to air the metal can oxidize and change colour. Although a shiny finish might seem better, experienced collectors prefer a coin's original appearance. As a rule, avoid cleaning your coins. Even wiping coins with a soft cloth may damage their finish and drastically reduce their value. http://www.mint.ca/store/mint/learn/caring-for-your-collection-1200006

Hello, The photo is a colour image that is applied directly on the coin. It is not a sticker.
