A complete series in depth!

I used these six coins to show and tell my grandchildren the beauty of the wilderness and how in depth each coin goes into itself. Admiring the great art, craftsmanship so detailed by the engraving on each coin! A wonderful tool in teaching the young!

Where is my Canoe?

2 shipped in nice boxes. 1 shipped in a plastic sleeve. 3 shipped in cardboard packaging. So far no canoe display case. Come on! Can't The Mint do better then this? Nice coins too bad I can't display them.

Not Overly Impressed

This was my first subscription, and I don't think I'll sign up for another. The actual coins are quite nice, so no issues there. But, the first coin came loose without a box, then the next 4 came in a nice box, and then again the last one arrived with no box, so I don't understand the inconsistency. I have yet to receive the canoe, which I figured would come with the last coin. When I e-mailed and asked them when I should expect the canoe, their response was literally "I don't know". Unacceptable answer. Not impressed with the entire experience.

Great set of coins. ..still waiting for canoe.

Love the coins. Still waiting for my canoe display. Was supposed to be here in December. Now entering February still no Christmas gift box for my grandson. Would have liked to get each individual coin in a mint presentation case but received only one like that; the rest were in a small cardboard box... Not really something to give someone as a gift. As a former canoe guide in Ontario I love the set.

Worried!

From reading the comments about the display canoe; i too now feel it. Was misinterpreted. I believed also from the sales add of this that i would be grtting a display canoe whoch would compliment the coins and noy cheapen the look of the set. I eill be most disappointed and feel that thr mint shoukd feel thr same and do something about it. I would not have purchased thr set at that price had i known it was too cheap to display in my home. Also havung to pay shipping fees when all other coins i purchased were free shipping. And one more thing. My first coin came in a cardboard box thats it... However my second coin was in a nice storage box like jewlery. Why was that? I will NOT use the cheap canoe so would have hoped all would be in thr nice gidt box which the second coin came in.

Great Set of Coins!!

The detail of these coins are unbelieveable! The quality of workmanship is second to none. I'm really stoked over it. I noticed some people complaining about the canoe, too bad it's better than a cardboard box. Remember you're buying the coins, not the boat. Don't loose sight of what's important.

Cheap canoe box

Was under the impression that the canoe shaped display case was wooden, and that was a large reason we bought the coins. We are extremely disappointed in this. We are sorry that we recommend ed these to a friend who also ordered these.

Cheap plastic canoe

The coins are nice enough. No complaints. Don't like the cheap plastic display case. I very foolishly believed from the photos that it would be made from wood - not the plastic that arrived today. It isn't even made well. The "plastic wood" doesn't sit well in the red plastic of the base. I have received wooded display cases before. But I should have known. I bought a series, the case was wood. The continuation series the following year, cardboard box. I pay enough for coins. If you are going to "give" me a display case, and claim it is valuable, then deliver. The display case is cheap, and I would never pay what the suggested value is, because it just isn't worth it.

Very original display, love the coins, just enough design, so it's not too busy.

Would prefer to have also seen female partner in canoe alongside male and canine or else a series just for women in this role for a change, as many have been.

I have the canoe across Canada set but I am missing one. I only have five, can I still get the sixth coin?

scott

Hi Scott, If you purchased this coin subscription before it went off-sale you should receive the last coin soon. If not, I recommend contacting any of our authorized coin dealers to see if they have any. Here's the link to our Dealer Locator page; http://www.mint.ca/store/mint/customer-service/dealer-locator-1400026?cat=Dealer+locator&nId=1400026&nodeGroup=Customer+Service

Chad

Are these coins encapsulated in some way or are they just open to the air? I imagine they get tarnished pretty quick?

Tim

Hi Tim - thanks for your question! Almost all of our commemorative coins come in a plastic capsule. These coins in particular do come in individual plastic capsules.
