Unique frame!

This is a really unique frame. I wanted it to hold a few of my large 100 for 100 coins or other larger coins. I tried to fit two of those bigger coins with some smaller unique coins ( $0.25, $0.05 etc) at the same time. It held the larger coins great, but then adding the smaller coins it got a bit more difficult. Once I stood up the frame, the smaller coins fell to the bottom. The only place all the coins are staying in place are at the very top and the very bottom for the small coins. I guess it makes sense as the larger coins take up more of the plastic stuff its holding and it leave a bigger area where other coins won't stay. Over all I really like it. But I think if I want to display both large and small coins, I will need to get two frames.

I have the 4 gold coin Disney Mickey subscription and was wondering, if I use this frame to disply them, will it damage the display cards the coins are mounted in?

Susan

Hi Susan, The transparent, flexible silicone membranes enclose objects gently, so the display cards will not be damaged by them.

Chad

Will this hold a Kilo coin in place safely?

Melissa

Hi Melissa, The transparent, flexible silicone membranes are not strong enough to hold a kilo coin in place over an extended period of time. The floating frames are best suited to hold coins of 5 ounces or less.

Chad

Since the other questions seemed to get a more general response, let me be more specific in asking: for the 270 mm x 222 mm x 34 mm floating frame, how many Canadian $2 coins could this hold. Further, are their mounts on the back for hanging? Thanks!

Luc

H Luc, The diameter of a Canadian two dollar coin ("toonie") is 28mm. This frame's display area is 240mm X 192mm. Therefore it can hold 48 toonies (eight rows of six coins). There are no mounts for hanging.

Chad

you can put as many coins that will fit in the space. However coins in the middle may require some scotch tape on the back so that they stay on. As for hanging them ... you can. Just use 2 small nails on the wall and rest the top of the frame on them. I have 5 frames using this technique.

Hi, How many 1 ounce coins with capsule are you able to insert into the frame size of 270 mm x 222 mm x 34 mm. It would be helpful to add an approximate amount of coins one can display to all frames. Thanks. GeorgeK

GeorgeK

Each frame can fit different number of coins. If you are inserting smaller coins, you will be able to fit more coins; if the coins are larger, like 5oz or kilo, then most likely 1 max 2 coins will fit in a frame.

How many coins can each of the floating frames hold?

Jamie

Hi Jamie, Each frame can fit different number of coins. If you are inserting smaller coins, you will be able to fit more coins; if the coins are larger, like 5oz or kilo, then most likely 1 max 2 coins will fit in a frame.
