As the Canadian Flag celebrates its 50th anniversary, the Royal Canadian Mint proudly pays tribute to our beloved national symbol by issuing both a coloured and non-coloured commemorative 25-cent circulation coin to celebrate this milestone.

Few symbols of Canada are as easily recognized and proudly displayed by Canadians as the red and white national flag featuring the emblematic red maple leaf. Canada's flag represents pride, valour, freedom and peace and is considered one of the most widely recognized national symbols in the world. But most of all, for Canadians, it represents home. To Canadians, the red maple leaf unites us by creating a common identity that bridges our different cultures, languages and beliefs.

This coin features a design of fifty children who each represent one of the flag's 50 years, as well as Canada's future. The words "50 years/ans" appear at the bottom center. The design was created by artist Bonnie Ross from Nova Scotia.

An ideal gift for someone you know or to share with someone who loves Canadian history. This collector card keepsake is the perfect way to proudly display and share the story behind Canada's most recent commemorative circulation coin.

Order yours today, and keep them close forever.

Hi there, This photo was taken on February 15, 1968 (FLAG DAY), at Queen's Park in Toronto. Thanks for your question!

Hello, Are any Canadian Flag Collector Card (2015) going to be produced? I am interested in getting one. Please let me know Thanks, Patrice Sacco

Pat

We are sorry that you are having trouble finding the 2015 Remembrance coins. These circulation coins were extremely popular, and despite a limit of one per customer, the circulation coin packs, collector cards, and special edition uncirculated sets sold out within a couple of weeks. We encourage you to check your local Canada Post outlet, or an authorized Mint dealer, as they sometimes have stock available once a product is sold out at the Mint. Commemorative coins also can be found in your everyday pocket change. They enter circulation based on demand from financial institutions, so we'd also encourage you to keeping checking your change regularly, as well as with your local bank branch or at a large retailer. Again, our apologies for the inconvenience.

I was also looking to buy this remembrance coins directly from the Mint but I guess I was too late. I did however found them in circulation while doing my laundry outside at the coin laundry looking for change and the colour coin a friend gave it to me. So hopefully you will get yours the same way. I wish the Mint will produce more though.

3 TD outlets and 2 CIBC outlets in mississauga do not have them. their managers will not ask for them. go to a coin dealer, such as in kitchener. they have a large supply. of course you will be paying approximately 8 times the face value. it is your choice. good luck.
