Really nice way to display my coins, I wish it was hangable.

I was able to put five coins into this frame and it looks wonderful. I do not regret the purchase -- however, the magnet that holds the frame together wants to pop open. It doesn't pop open, but it's on the edge -- I really wish the magnet was a bit stronger. I would also have been willing to pay more if the frame could hang on the wall. Because of the way this frame is constructed, it really should only be used for a shelf display. Also, it won't hold thick coins well (like the ones with blown glass on them)

Floating frame 180x180x34 mm

I have put the case to task by holding 9 of my favourite coins. Coins were left in their original cover/case and haven't budged. Thus far, I have only positive comments of this product and will be acquiring a few more.

Don't understand what is required here

The only thing I would suggest is that there be alternate styles available. This was a request from my husband before receiving our frames. Upon arrival, he was delighted with them.

Great idea terrible reality

The coins, no matter what the size - 1 ounce or 2 ounce - did not remain in place but constantly fell when you case was vertical ... The clear material needs to have more friction to keep going from sliding… I bought eight including two from each of the various sizes, and returned them all.

Innovative Coin Display

5

This innovative frame will allow you to present your coins in a stylish and decorative manner. As described by RCM, coins are held in place by flexible silicone membranes. The frame itself can be easily opened and closed as it has a magnetic clasp. This particular frame will accommodate four 54mm 2oz. encapsulated coins or six 40mm 1oz. encapsulated coins or a combination of various other coin sizes. Frame packaging contains a Lighthouse Publications logo.

Does the 180x180mm size is the inside of the frame? If not, what's the actual display size - the transparent inside? Would the silicone membrane hold a bill? I'm thinking of displaying the whole 2017 special edition circulation collection - all 8 coins and the 10$ bill, would it fit and hold?

Tiago Mota

Hi Tiago, The display area of this frame is 150 mm X 150 mm. Yes the silicone membranes will hold a bill. However, Canadian polymer bank notes are 152.4 mm by 69.85 mm so the $10 bill is a bit too long to fit across. The bill would also use up nearly half of the display area, so there wouldn't be room for the 8 coins too. We'd recommend buying one of the larger frames (either the (240 mm X 240 mm frame or the 270 mm X 222 mm frame). Please note that since coins are thicker than bills, you may have to place the bill far enough away from the coins so that the membranes can still hold the bill. Chad

Will this display my 1 kg pure silver coin - The arms of Canada ?

John Williams

Hi John, We do not recommend putting anything larger than a 5 ounce coin in the floating frames. Kilo coins are too heavy.

Chad

what size of coin does this hold

LORNE

Hi Lorne, Each frame can fit different number of coins. If you are inserting smaller coins, you will be able to fit more coins; if the coins are larger, like 5oz or kilo, then most likely 1 max 2 coins will fit in a frame.

Chad

How many coins can fit into these frames?

Meg

Hi Meg, Each frame can fit different number of coins. If you are inserting smaller coins, you will be able to fit more coins; if the coins are larger, like 5oz or kilo, then most likely 1 max 2 coins will fit in a frame.

Chad

I have 5 coins in this frame, including one of the larger coins -- the glow in the dark reef. I've only had it for one day, but it's holding up nicely. I would not recommend trying to put a coin with blown glass (or any thicker case) in this frame.
