Comments about Floating Frame Coin Accessory (240 mm x 240 mm x 34 mm):

The frames are excellent for storing coins so that they may be viewed from both sides:however there is no place to store the authentication documents for new collectible coins. This lack makes the frame most useful to collectors who do not deal in new coins, but collect vintage coins.

I know my coin is dimensionally compatible with the 240 x 240 frame, but I am curious to know if you think it will manage to hold a silver kilo coin safely. Maybe you could test it out and let us know.

          Hi Michael,

Yes, we tested kilo coins in the 240mm x 240mm frame. It holds them fine. However, the thickness of kilo coins will stretch the flexible silicone membrane slightly over time, so you would likely not be able to use it for smaller coins after that.

      • Q:

Are the dimensions from the outside of the frame or the inside of the frame? what is the thickness of the frame and are all the frame the same thickness?

          Hi Andre,

The dimensions are from the outside of the frame. The border is 15mm. (border measurements are the same for all frames). Here's an example: For the 180 x 180 frame – the display part of the frame is 150 x 150 (remove 15mm for the border on each side).

Can multiple coins be placed in the same frame?

          A:

          Hi Matthew,

Each frame can fit different number of coins. If you are inserting smaller coins, you will be able to fit more coins; if the coins are larger, like 5oz or kilo, then most likely 1 max 2 coins will fit in a frame.

Does each frame hold only one coin or can it hold multiple coins
