About the Design:

I was pleasantly surprised on how the coin was displayed in a lovely maple leaf shaped box. The coin itself is so unique as it's shaped as a maple leaf. I honestly didn't pay attention to the dimensions or weight of the coin so again, I was surprised on how big and heavy the coin is. Great detail and colouring throughout. I highly recommend this coin as a nice keepsake to display.

The coin design is excellent. The paint makes the leaf look realistic. The wood carved leaf that the coin is set in, has a good choice of options on how to display the coin. With a little work to the wood leaf, a clock could be set where the coin is set.

- Forgive my ignorance, but what are the two metal pegs that can be screwed into the lower back of the wooden display case for? I see there is a hole in the back (top) where you can hang the display box on the wall, but what is the purpose of having the metal pegs in the back, bottom, of the display box suppose to be. I understand that they would raise the box away from the wall (if so displayed), but then the square form that holds the encapsulated coin would fall out of the wooden display box. Same if it were displayed on a flat or tilted surface. For the life of me, I can not figure out the significance for having the pegs screwed in ?????? Perhaps it's time for this old man to be taken out back in the winter and left for wolf/coyote food. Life's full circle is complete! ;^) NO, you can't have my coin! Thank you in advance for any clarification that anybody may be able to provide.

There are 2 threaded holes in the back of the case that the 2 pegs can be screwed into to support the case as a stand-up display. For those that don't want to hang the case on a wall, this allows the coin to be displayed on a shelf or flat surface
