MINT FIRST! Four pure-silver square coins! Order yours today!

The coins in this set fit together like pieces of a puzzle, much like the many cultures that have come together to form one of the most culturally rich nations in the world. The resulting maple leaf is the perfect theme—as one of Canada's best-known symbols, it's an iconic image people of all cultures can relate to!

When these four coins are put together, they form a complete maple leaf! Order today!

Special features:
  • MINT FIRST! A quartet of square fine silver coins, each crafted from 99.99% pure silver in a striking reverse proof finish!
  • ANOTHER FIRST! An innovative multi-coin arrangement! Each coin features a portion of the overall design; when the four coins are positioned side-by-side in a square, they form an exquisitely engraved Canadian icon: a sugar maple leaf!
  • 99.99% PURE SILVER COIN! Your coin set is GST/HST exempt!
  • BEAUTIFUL PACKAGE! The four square coins are individually encapsulated and beautifully packaged together, side-by-side and in position, in order to showcase the complete image without the need for you to remove them from the case.
  • LOW MINTAGE: Only 7,500 of the entire set will be made available worldwide.

Design:

In a unique twist, each of the four coins in this set feature a portion of a reverse design by Canadian artist Celia Godkin. Highly detailed engraving recreates the stunning natural beauty of the sugar maple leaf (Acer saccharum), as it would appear in a natural setting. From the leaf's softly wavy edges to the deep veins that run through each lobe, the fine details infuse this design with a life-like sense of depth, dimension and texture. The unparalleled craftsmanship is stunning on each individual coin but together, the four reverse images form the powerful image of a complete maple leaf, which is a touching celebration of Canada and all that defines it. Also engraved on the reverse are the purity “FINE SILVER 1/4 OZ ARGENT PUR 9999”, the word “CANADA” and the year “2017”. The obverse features the face value “3 DOLLARS” and the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth by Susanna Blunt.

Packaging:

Your coin is encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint-branded clamshell case with a graphic beauty box.

The coin is very well designed and is unique in nature and is very well done by the mint. I would agree with the other comments though that for the silver content the coin I feel is priced to high.

We wanted a certain physical size for each coin in the set and as a result we have exceeded the minimum ¼ oz weight, which is only a nominal weight in the case of these particular coins. The total weight of all four coins is actually 47.72 grams (approximately 1.6 oz) or 11.85 grams per coin.

One Would expect a very high markup on anything produced by the RCM because you are paying for artistic value as well as pseudo-coinage value.

Hi Grizz – thanks for your questions. All four coins are included in the price. We wanted a certain physical size for each coin in the set and as a result we have exceeded the minimum ¼ oz weight, which is only a nominal weight in the case of these particular coins. The total weight of all four coins is actually 47.40 grams (approximately 1.6 oz) or 11.85 grams each.

It appears that the weight of each coin is 1/4 ounce. Your specs show 11.85 grams which is more than the coin indicated. Please have this corrected. Thanks.

Thanks jimper for the keen eye. However, there is no mistake with the specification. We wanted a certain physical size for each coin in the set and as a result we have exceeded the minimum ¼ oz weight, which is only a nominal weight in the case of these particular coins. The total weight of all four coins is actually 47.40 grams (approximately 1.6 oz) or 11.85 grams per coin.
