Comments about The $20 for $20 2016 Silver Coin Collection:

Sadly this is the last time I will order the subscription for the $20 coins. So far they have been great slices of Canadian; this year we are let down with commercial coins with little appeal that will not be displayed alongside previous years. The T-Rex is fine. Batman v. Superman. ?? This one was a pass. Even last years superman and bugs bunny were sore thumbs that felt like a sharp deviation from what was turning into a great coin series.

Comments about The $20 for $20 2016 Silver Coin Collection:

Well, all three coins are out now. T-Rex, Batman v. Superman, and Star Trek Enterprise. Of the three, only the last one held any interest for me. It's actually not bad. Of the other two, the worst by far was the Batman v. Superman coin. Leaving aside the fact that the subject matter is unworthy, and that the movie sucked, it is just poorly executed. Superman looks okay, but Batman looks like a drunken goaltender about to fall backwards. This whole $20 for $20 series needs a reboot. It needs to go back to its original concepts. Remember when the $20 for $20 coins used to sell out? When was the last time that happened?

All you have to do is inform the mint, and they'll tell the bank that they must accept it, as it is non circulation legal tender. The bank tellers are just unaware. By law, they have to.

Comments about The $20 for $20 2016 Silver Coin Collection:

I buy these dollar-for-dollar coins to gift to my grandkids. But would like to know the truth of the fact that do we really get the face value of the copins? I am surprised to read the following customer comment about redeeming the Royal Canadian Mint coins at face values at Canadian five big banks (such as RBC, TD, and CIBC) greatly turned down.

The coin dealers do not like to buy dollar-for-dollar coins because RCM sells the coins at face values to them and their customers do not want to pay more than the face values of the coins. The pawn shops will buy these coins at the current values of the coins' silver contents. For example, this coin is quarter ounce heavy and if silver is selling at $20 per ounce, the pawn shops will offer $5 to buy this coin from you.

Comments about The $20 for $20 2016 Silver Coin Collection:

I used to enthusiastically pre-order dollar-for-dollar coins but redeeming the Royal Canadian Mint coins at face values at Canadian five big banks (such as RBC, TD, and CIBC) greatly turned me down. Most of the employees at the big banks refused to let me redeem the RCM coins at face values when I needed cash for personal purposes. So I ended up holding the coins and borrowing money from my friends.

The coin dealers do not like to buy dollar-for-dollar coins because RCM sells the coins at face values to them and their customers do not want to pay more than the face values of the coins. The pawn shops will buy these coins at the current values of the coins' silver contents. • Q:

I have purchased all the 20 for 20 as gifts for my grandkids, but seriously I want them to be of interest to me as well. I am kind of tired of the comic book theme, I realize that they are a good seller for you, but as an adult I have grown tired of paying out $60.00 for DC comic coins. When will you be moving on from the comic book theme? I am to the point where I have enough comics in my collection, but because I have the coins since the beginning I really forced to purchase them weather I like them or not because I have so much invested in the complete set. There are so many topic's that could be explored, so many important people, Canadians. You have a hero's coin now, and that's great I have signed up for that as well, but should not OUR coins represent us not a comic book company. And yes I am aware that there are characters that are Canadian creations but enough I do not even take the time to look really at them I just inspect and put away. So when will you make a change.
