Senior Analyst, Financial Systems

    Reporting to the Senior Manager, Consolidations, the Senior Analyst, Financial Systems is responsible to implement the requirements, maintain master data and assist in identifying improvements to the CPM (Prophix) system to enable the business lines at the RCM to successfully improve their operational performance. They will be responsible for the successful use of the CPM system through training and on-going support for all business line users. With a strong background in systems and business knowledge, the incumbent will leverage their skills and experience to be a key partner with the IT team in ensuring the CPM system is updated as business requirements change.

    The incumbent will be responsible for day-to-day management and continuous improvement of financial systems. These financial systems include; maintaining the existing CPM system, system configuration, testing and approving Finance related system changes, providing functional guidance and direction on business process and system issues, and training end users on new processes and systems to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This position is also responsible for analyzing and evaluating business processes and systems, re-engineering and implementing new business processes and systems, and conducting special transformation analyses and projects.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Support the RCM transformation through the successful implementation and continuous improvement of planning, budgeting and forecasting software applications; responsible for the translation of business requirements into system requirements, including Quality Assurance and User Acceptance testing to ensure systems acceptance signoff.
    • Document processes, train and provide ongoing support to systems users to ensure processes align to system use; work with FA, IT controls on audit controls for the system.
    • Action other responsibilities as assigned, including projects and initiatives to ensure the FP&A's team success.
    • Perform various verifications, reconciliations and thorough analyses on cost centre forecasts, budgets and workforce plans, given several scenarios and contingency planning reviews.
    • Perform complex verification and reconciliations within and outside the financial model to ensure integrity of cost center forecasts, budgets, workforce plans and the corporate plan 5-year financials.
    • Create and modify Prophix templates to reflect CPM and Finance business requirements.
    • Use of complex financial modelling techniques to provide detailed forecasts and contingency planning review in a timely fashion using assumptions to support several scenarios within each business lines.
    • Assist the FP&A office with its regular duties and activities, including data collection, reporting and performing various financial analyses, as required.
    • Organize, analyze and present high value analysis and interpretation of data in support of finance and strategic planning functions
    • Assist in ensuring an integration of operational strategies and plans.

    Requirements:

    • University degree in Computer Science or a related field.
    • Minimum of 7 years of relevant industry experience.
    • Demonstrated success with business analysis, developing business requirements, UAT and QA processes.
    • Solid working knowledge of software documentation methodologies.
    • Project management and change management skills.
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal; demonstrated success communicating with technical and non-technical individuals.
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
    • Attention to detail; ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
    • Bilingualism is an asset.
