Managing Director Sales, B2B - Bullion & Numismatics

    Reporting to the Executive Managing Director Sales, the Managing Director Sales, B2B is responsible for the management of B2B sales strategies, tactics and regional sales staff supporting the Royal Canadian Mint's Bullion and Numismatics businesses. The incumbent will be accountable for the sales objectives defined for the target regions including Canada, US, Europe & Asia.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Develops and executes effective sales strategies linked with the corporate strategy in support of B2B market share, revenue and profit targets for each business and region.
    • Maintains a deep understanding of market trends and customer-specific winning strategies, informing the development and execution of comprehensive sales plans focusing on target regions, customers and products.
    • Leads, mentors and develops a sales team of 5 delivering effective structured selling of our diverse range of investment and collector products.
    • Oversees management of B2B product sales pipeline including custom product programs tailored to specific markets and/or customers.
    • Responsible for detailed region/account tracking, analysis and forecasts to measure performance against established objectives.
    • Provides leadership on negotiations of major sales agreements with B2B customers.
    • Develops strong relationships with key accounts in all regions and with sales peers and internal stakeholders in support of corporate, business line and functional team business objectives.
    • Develops and delivers effective sales/business presentations to customers and internal stakeholders.
    • Responsible for development and administration of annual department budgets to attain business goals with operational stability.


    • International Business or Commerce Degree (MBA preferred) or equivalent relevant Sales experience
    • Minimum 10 years of progressive B2B Sales Management/Leadership experience with proven success driving growth and effectively managing an engaged sales team
    • 5+ years International Sales Experience (US, Europe & Asia preferred)
    • Very strong English written and oral communications/presentation skills (French is an asset)
    • 30-40% travel required to domestic and international markets (US, Europe & Asia)
    • Experience developing international business/sales strategies with proven ability to execute
    • Very strong analytical skills including financial, market, pricing and forecast analysis
    • Proven ability to develop relationships with key customers in all markets and internal stakeholders
    • Proven mentor and team builder
    • Experience in the Precious Metals and Numismatics markets an asset
    • Computer Skills: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint  & CRM (MS Dynamics)
