Maintenance Planner, Technical Services

    SUMMARY OF DUTIES:  Reporting to the Senior Manager, Technical Services, the Maintenance Planner is responsible for facilitating communication and execution between the production and maintenance for all maintenance-related activities, ensuring the execution of the work is possible due to availability of material, manpower and equipment. This position is also responsible for monitoring the maintenance schedule attainment. The Maintenance Planner will ensure all pieces of equipment are going to be maintained with minimal impact on operations, taking into account the health & safety, environment and budget.

    This bilingual position must be staffed on an imperative basis.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Experience:

    • High School Diploma AND any degree in a trade related discipline to the position (Mechanic, Machinist, Maintenance or Electrician);
    • 10 years of experience related to Maintenance in a manufacturing environment to better understand the reality of the Technical Services commitments and duties;
    • Maintenance Planning experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset;
    • Forklift license is mandatory.

    Abilities and Skills:

    • Ability to work under pressure and within tight schedule as it is the type of environment the candidate will have to deal with;
    • Excellent communications and negociation skills;
    • Excellent networking skills in order to work with various stakeholders;
    • Excellent flexibility and adaptability;
    • Very good leadership skills;
    • Very good strategic planning skills;
    • Strong computer skills; and
    • Strong problem resolution skills.

    Knowledge:

    • Strong mechanical expertise in order to properly evaluate time and costs for each jobs;
    • Strong understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance activities;
    • In-dept understanding of health and safety principles and activities  such as: Lock-out and Tag-out programs, MSDS, Personal Protective Equipment requirements in general, professional certifications required for certain tasks (lifting equipment, fire protection equipment);
    • Good knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System;
    • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel; and
    • Basic knowledge of technologies present at that Mint to facilitate the integration and understanding of this position.    

    This opening is to be filled on a temporary operation and/or shift work.
