    Reporting to the Treasurer, the Manager, Treasury Operations is responsible for managing the day-to-day cash, corporate and merchant banking, and treasury management functions including foreign exchange, capital market and trade finance activities; managing the corporate travel and hospitality program; and assisting with the corporate insurance program, risk mitigation and claims management.  The Manager will assist with inputs into the corporate plan, financial statements, note disclosures and MD&A.  Furthermore, the Manager engages and establishes strong working relations with internal and external stakeholders and is responsible for fostering a cohesive and collaborative work environment.  The incumbent is responsible for leading a team of approximately 2 people.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Forecast and manage corporate cashflows to meet operating and capital requirements.  Identify, analyze, assess and invest surplus funds in accordance with RCM's Short-Term Investment Policy. Identify, analyze, assess and execute short-term borrowings as may be approved.
    • Identify, analyze, assess foreign currency risks across the organization and manage these risks in accordance with RCM's Foreign Currency Hedging Policy.
    • Identify, analyze, assess trade finance and counter-party risks and manages them accordingly to mitigate risk to the organization.
    • Manage Corporate Travel & Hospitality Program including policy.
    • Manage and maintain Delegation of Authority Policy including policy interpretation and communication to stakeholders.
    • Assist with the corporate insurance program including developing and implementing risk identification, loss prevention and mitigation programs and managing and negotiating insurance claims.
    • Manage relationships with financial institutions and the insurance industry, who provide goods and/or services to the department.  Identify, review and implement insurance, treasury and banking systems, products, services and tools to improve efficiencies, effectiveness, controls and costs.


    • University degree in Finance, Commerce or Business Administration
    • 7 years of related business experience with a minimum of 5 years in corporate treasury
    • Minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience
    • Bilingual (English and French) an asset
    • Corporate treasury and cash management experience including corporate banking, capital markets, foreign currency risk management, and trade finance
    • Knowledge of rules, regulations and compliance matters pertaining to corporate banking, capital markets, foreign currency and trade finance
    • Experience with insurance risk management and claims management
    • Experience with various proprietary corporate banking, trade execution and treasury platforms
    • Experience with the Kyriba treasury management system
    • Proven ability to negotiate, influence and persuade others to facilitate change management
    • Policy writing skills
    • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Strong program management, organization, conceptual, intuitive, problem solving and multi-tasking skills and abilities
    • Strong and broad financial and non-financial analytical skills
    • Proven ability to deal with sensitive and/or confidential information
    • Proven ability to prepare and deliver presentations and training to a diverse group of stakeholders
    • Professional treasury designation (eg. CTP, CFA) an asset
    • Professional accounting designation (eg. CPA) and/or advance university degree (eg. MBA) an asset
