    Reporting to the President and CEO, the Senior Director, Strategy, serves as a senior advisor to the President and provides overall support on a variety of strategic matters, key corporate planning processes, special projects and administrative and executive duties, involving the President's office.  The Senior Director Strategy also coordinates the execution of organization-wide initiatives undertaken by the President.  
    The Senior Director, Strategy works with the Executive team and their cross functional teams to ensure the appropriate strategies and tactics are developed and executed to meet the Corporation's objectives.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • The incumbent will work collaboratively with members of the executive team to provide expertise and be accountable for the workflow management of key strategic processes such as crafting the Corporate Plan, the annual Strategy Planning session with the RCM's Board of Director and the Annual Report.
    • The incumbent will be responsible for interacting with the executive team to ensure organizational alignment with the RCM strategy and corporate plan across the portfolios of Vice-President and their respective functional strategies and operational plans. 
    • Manage the annual calendar, plan agendas and review the presentation content for recurring key management meetings such as the weekly Leadership Team meetings and monthly Strategy Review meetings with the executive team, and the periodic Senior Leadership Forum meetings with the extended senior management team. 
    • Support the executive team to facilitate the analysis of on-going business issues and emerging challenges to identify the potential organization-wide impacts, and assist in formulating proposals to the President on strategies, solutions and alternatives for dealing with the issues.
    • Support Vice-Presidents and their teams in providing proposals, briefings, and presentations to the President on key business issues and strategic matters including those pertaining to the Board of Directors.
    • Participates in regular meetings with the executive team and other key meetings as needed to facilitate discussions and help drive understanding and move decision-making forward.
    • Directs special assignments and handles other duties as assigned by the President.


    • University Degree in business, Masters of Business Administration (MBA) an asset.
    • 15 years of experience working in complex organizational environments.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience influencing and working closely with executive level leaders.
    • Proven track record of developing effective partnerships across various functional groups in a team oriented environment to facilitate decisions and ensure implementation of action plans to meets goals and objectives. 
    • Ability to communicate simply and effectively both orally and in writing complex issues to various levels with internal and external stakeholders, including Shareholder and Board of Directors, to promote business strategies, objectives and achievements.
    • Experience and extensive training in a senior strategy consulting capacity with exceptional organizational and analytical skills and a track record demonstrating strong problem-solving skills in the face of multiple challenges in a diversified business model environment.
    • Proven ability to lead and/or play a key role in change management initiatives.
    • Experience balancing strategic leadership with detailed involvement in support of accountabilities.
    • Experience with government relations is an asset.
    • Bilingual (English and French).
