Biography
James B. Love, Q.C., is a partner in the law firm Love & Whalen in Toronto Ontario. He holds a Master of Laws and Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School, and a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University. Since 2002 he has served as chairman and chief executive officer of Legacy Private Trust. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1992. He has practiced in the areas of federal and provincial income, sales and other taxes, acquisitions, mergers and corporate reorganizations. Mr. Love's professional memberships include the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Canadian Bar Association. He is a member of numerous corporate and foundation Boards of Directors, including the York University Foundation. In 2010 Mr. Love received the York University Environmental Studies Friend of the Faculty Award for his dedication to the environment and sustainability. York University also honoured him with the Bryden Alumni Award for Outstanding Alumnus Contribution.
First appointed to the Mint's Board of Directors on October 30, 2006, Mr. Love was appointed Chair of the Board of Directors on April 23, 2009 for a five-year term.

Biography
Ian E. Bennett, a distinguished federal public servant, has held several positions within the Department of Finance including Deputy Minister from November 2004 to June 2006. Previously, he served as Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund representing Canada, Ireland and the Caribbean countries from September 2001 to October 2004. Mr. Bennett has also held other senior positions within the federal government including Associate Deputy Minister of Finance and G-7 Deputy for Canada from 1998 to 2001, Associate Deputy Minister of Revenue Canada and Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet (Operations). Born in Nelson, British Columbia, he holds a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours Economics/Commerce) from Simon Fraser University and a Masters of Arts in Economics from the University of Toronto.
Mr. Bennett has served as President and CEO of the Royal Canadian Mint since June 12, 2006 and was re-appointed for a period of three years effective June 12, 2011.

Biography
John K. Bell is CEO of Onbelay Investment Corporation, a private equity Company. He serves on the board of Newport Partners Income fund, Strongco Corporation and BSM Wireless (Chair), all TSE listed Companies. He is past Chair of Cambridge Memorial Hospital and the Waterloo Regional Police Commission. Mr. Bell holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Western Ontario (Ivey) and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario. He is an experienced entrepreneur and business person. He is the founder of Shred-Tech (mobile document shredders) a Company he grew and sold in 1996 following which he acquired Polymer Technologies Inc. which he successfully grew and sold in 1996.
Mr. Bell was appointed to the Mint's Board of Directors on May 14, 2009 and is a member of the Audit Committee and the Governance and Nominating Committee.

Biography
Claude F. Bennett is a former member of the Provincial Parliament of Ontario 1971-1987. He served as Minister of various portfolios including Industry & Tourism, Housing, Municipal Affairs & Housing, Tourism/Culture/Recreation, and Chairman of Cabinet. Mr. Bennett also served as Chairman of the Ottawa MacDonald-Cartier International Airport Authority, the Ottawa Transition Board, the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation and the Ottawa Sports Hall of Fame. He also served as President of the Commonwealth Games Canada Association. Mr. Bennett served on Ottawa City Council from 1960-1972 as Alderman, Controller and Acting Mayor.
Mr. Bennett was appointed to the Mint's Board of Directors on June 27, 2007. He is a member of the Audit Committee, the Governance and Nominating Committee and the Ad Hoc Committee on Succession Planning.

Susan Dujmovic is the Assistant Vice-President, Risk Management with HSBC Bank Canada. A career banker, she has held progressively senior management positions in retail and commercial banking over the last decade. A Leadership Vancouver graduate, Ms. Dujmovic has been involved with numerous community organizations including the Vancouver Board of Trade and Coast Foundation Society. Ms. Dujmovic holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia and is a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers of British Columbia.
Ms. Dujmovic was appointed to the Mint's Board of Directors on September 15, 2006 and is the Chair of the Audit Committee.

Biography
Ghislain Harvey is currently the CEO of Promotion Saguenay Inc. From 1997 to 2002, he successively headed the municipal administrations for La Baie, Chicoutimi and Saguenay. Prior to this, he was elected as Dubuc's Member of Parliament for the National Assembly of Québec (1973-1977). He holds a Bachelor of Human Sciences from l'Université du Québec à Chicoutimi and is a Certified Industrial Relations Counsellor. He is a member of the Order of Chartered Human Resources and Industrial Relations Advisors of Quebec.
Mr. Harvey was appointed to the Mint's Board of Directors on October 21, 2003. He is the Chair of the Human Resources and Workplace Health and Safety Committee and a member of the Ad Hoc Committee on Succession Planning.

Biography
Carman Joynt is a retired audit partner with Deloitte & Touche, Chartered Accountants. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Carlton University and an Institute of Corporate Directors certification. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Ontario. Mr. Joynt has served the public in various volunteer roles, including past chair of the Ottawa Civic Hospital Foundation, past director of the Home Hospital of Ottawa-Carleton and past governor of Algonquin College in Ottawa. He is currently a board member of Canadian Geographic magazine and the Royal Canadian Geographic Society Endowment Fund.
Mr. Joynt was appointed to the Mint's Board of Directors on November 22, 2007 and is the Vice-Chair of the Audit Committee as well as the Vice-Chair of the Human Resources and Workplace Health and Safety Committee. He is also a member of the Ad Hoc Committee on Succession Planning.

Kirk MacRae currently serves as president of R.K.M. Investments. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Prince Edward Island and an Institute of Corporate Directors certification. From 1984 to 1989, he was a branch manager and investment executive with Midland Doherty, a national investment firm. He is currently a board member of a number of community boards, including the Sydney Airport Authority, the Gaelic College of Celtic Arts and Crafts, the Sydney and Area Chamber of Commerce and the First Angels Network of Atlantic Canada.
Mr. MacRae was appointed to the Mint's Board of Directors on January 25, 2007 and is the Chair of the Governance and Nominating Committee.

Bonnie Staples-Lyon is currently the President of her own communications firm, which she founded in 1997. Previously, she was the Vice-President of Corporate Affairs & Corporate Communications for Manitoba Telecom Services where she was responsible for the development and delivery of media as well as employee, community and government relations. Before moving to the corporate world, she spent 10 years as a senior communications and policy adviser to the Premier of Manitoba. A resident of Winnipeg, Ms. Staples-Lyon is an active member in various education and community organisations.
Ms. Staples-Lyon was appointed to the Mint's Board of Directors on July 30, 2008. She is a member of Audit Committee and the Human Resources and Workplace Health and Safety Committee.

Biography
Guy Dancosse, Q.C. is a partner with the Montreal law firm Lapointe Rosenstein Marchand Melançon LLP and has more than 30 years of experience in arbitration, negotiation and mediation, both nationally and internationally, in all areas of business and labour relations.
He completed his Master's degree in Commercial Law at the Université de Montréal (1967) and is a certified counsellor in Industrial Relations (1984). Mr. Dancosse was named Queen's Counsel by the federal government in 1988 and completed the Advanced Education Program for lawyers, Harvard Law School, in 1998. He has also published numerous books and articles on arbitration and negotiation.
Mr. Dancosse was appointed to the Mint's Board of Directors on December 15, 2011.

Vice-President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Corporate and Legal Affairs
Biography
Marguerite F. Nadeau, QC, is the Vice-President, General Counsel and Corporate
Secretary, Corporate and Legal Affairs of the Royal Canadian Mint. She is responsible for
providing a wide range of legal activities and services required at all levels of the
corporation's operations. Ms. Nadeau guides the Officers of the corporation in conducting
business within the letter and spirit of the law to protect the Mint and management from legal
liabilities and thereby helping to maximize the corporation's opportunity for growth. She also
guides the Officers of the corporation in order to protect the assets of the corporation and to
ensure compliance with domestic and international laws and regulations.
Ms. Nadeau joined the Mint in 1984 as the corporation's Legal Counsel, after working seven
years at Supply and Services Canada. Concurrently, she served as Corporate Secretary for the
Crown Assets Disposal Corporation. In 1985 she took on the position of Corporate Secretary at
the Mint. In 1987, Ms. Nadeau was appointed as a Member of the Copyright Appeal Board of Canada
and served in this capacity for a period of two years. In 1990 she was appointed Queen's
Counsel by Order in Council. In 2003 she was appointed to her current position of Vice-President, General Counsel and
Corporate Secretary of the Mint and served as Acting President and CEO of the Mint from October 3, 2005 to June 11, 2006.

Chief Operating Officer
Biography
Beverley Lepine is Chief Operating Officer. She is responsible for ensuring the profitability of the Mint's four business lines, and for overseeing all operations, from sales through production and distribution. She also has specific responsibility for Corporate Engineering and Advanced R&D. Mrs. Lepine is charged with driving the implementation of Lean Enterprise, allocating resources to deliver optimal customer value, and promoting quality and innovation.
Ms. Lepine joined the Mint in 1987 as Director of Finance. In 1996, she was promoted to Vice-President of Administration and Finance, in which capacity she oversaw construction of the Mint's $31-million plating facility at the Winnipeg plant. In 2001, she became Vice-President of Manufacturing, responsible for production, quality systems and inventory management for all business lines. She was appointed to her current post in 2003.
Prior to joining the Mint, Ms. Lepine worked for four years in the Treasury Board Secretariat of Canada's Office of the Comptroller General. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Bishop's University and a graduate diploma in public accountancy from McGill University. She earned her Chartered Accountant designation from the Quebec Institute while articling at Clarkson, Gordon & Company in Montreal.
Ms. Lepine is Chair of the Board of Trustees of Bruyère Continuing Care.

Vice-President of Finance & Administration and CFO
Biography
J. Marc Brûlé is Vice-President of Finance & Administration and CFO.
Prior to joining the Mint in 2007, Mr. Brûlé served as the Chief Executive Officer of Energy
Ottawa Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Hydro Ottawa Holding Inc., and previously held the
post of chief executive officer at Dynasty Components Inc. From June 1982 until April 2000, Mr.
Brûlé was a partner at KPMG Ottawa, where he provided accounting and business advice to a wide
variety of organizations in Eastern Ontario.
Mr. Brûlé holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Carleton University, and earned the
Chartered Accountant designation in 1975.

Vice-President, Marketing and Communications
Biography
Patrick Hadsipantelis is Vice-President, Marketing and Communications. He serves as the Royal Canadian Mint's chief marketing and communications strategist and ensures that marketing and communications initiatives reflect the excellence of the corporation and take full advantage of opportunities to advance the Mint's reputation as the best mint in the world.
Mr. Hadsipantelis joined the Mint in 2009 with comprehensive experience in numerous areas of marketing. Most recently as Vice-President of Marketing for the Fido Brand, he led the development of the company's new brand strategy. He also worked for several years in managing Fido's pricing, market planning, advertising, direct marketing, packaging and online communications. In previous positions with Bell Canada, Mr. Hadsipantelis marketed consumer products and services as well as established customer marketing campaigns.
He is a graduate of École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC) in Montreal with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

Vice-President, Human Resources and Quality Systems
Biography
Michel Boucher is Vice-President, Human Resources and Quality Systems. He joined the Mint in 2011 with 18 years comprehensive experience in a multi-plant environment and with substantial knowledge of labour relations, health and safety and organizational development. He has previously worked for Cascades Inc., at both their Head Office in Kingsey Falls and in a Toronto-based paper facility. He held various positions during his time at Cascades, including the role of Corporate Director Human Resources for one of the four divisions of Cascades Inc. Prior to joining the Mint, Mr. Boucher worked in Montreal as Vice President, Human Resources of Induspac, which is a privately held business with 30 plants across Canada, the United-States and Mexico.
Mr. Boucher holds a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Relations from McGill University and is a recent graduate of the McGill-HEC Executive MBA program.

Executive Director Bullion and Refinery (including Refinery Operations)
Biography
Mr. Moore joined the Royal Canadian Mint in 2002 as Manager of Retail sales. He
was subsequently appointed to the position of Director of Sales at the Royal Canadian Mint.
Prior to joining the Royal Canadian Mint, he developed the telecom, ISP and web hosting markets
in North America for Coast Software Inc. He also occupied the position of Global Executive
Director, Apparel, Accessories and Licensing for Airwair/Dr. Martens. Mr. Moore holds a
Bachelor of Business Economics degree from the University of Guelph.
Executive Director of Foreign Circulation
Biography
Peter J. Ho is Executive Director of the Foreign Circulation business line. In
this role, he drives the growth of the corporation, generating revenue, increasing sales and
promoting the quality reputation of the Royal Canadian Mint worldwide.
Mr. Ho first joined the Mint in 1989 as Foreign Circulation Sales Manager for Asia. He then
became Director of the Mint's Direct Marketing Group, overseeing the customer solutions and
call center. He subsequently became Director of E-commerce, in which capacity he co-championed
the creation of an e-commerce website for the Mint that would act as a revenue-generating sales
tool. After working in the private sector for a period, in 2002, Mr. Ho returned to the Mint as
Foreign Circulation Sales Director for Asia, and in 2003 he was named to his current post.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Ho worked as a sales representative in Asia for an agricultural
engineering firm and for a livestock export company. He holds a Bachelor of Economics degree
from the University of Waterloo and is a former Board Member of the Commonwealth Games
Foundation.

Executive Director of Canadian Circulation (incl. Wpg Plant)
Biography
Mr. Lefebvre joined the Mint in 1997 as Manager of Technical Services. He was
then promoted to Plant Director in 2001 and to his current post in 2005. Previously, he worked
for a national facility management company as business development manager, and prior to this
for a mechanical engineering consulting firm. He holds a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering and
a Master of Business Administration (MBA) both from the University of Ottawa.

Chief Information Officer
Biography
Greg Smith is the CIO (Chief Information Officer). His responsibilities include
developing the Mint's information management and technology strategies, system planning, and
the provision of information systems services within the corporation. The latter includes both
the on-going technical support of computing facilities and communication systems and the
implementation of new technologies and applications.
Mr. Smith served as the Executive Director of Business Transformation prior to accepting his
current role in 2008 and has held a number of senior executive positions. Mr. Smith has
substantial experience in marketing, product development, sales, e-business and technology
through related positions with a range of companies. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from
the University of New Brunswick. He was a recipient of the Mint's President's Award in
2003.

Executive Director of Numismatics & Collectibles
Biography
Sean Byrne is Executive Director of the Numismatics & Collectibles business line, for which he is responsible for developing and implementing strategic direction. He oversees all aspects of manufacturing and production for the Ottawa plant to ensure products are manufactured on-schedule and within quality standards. Sean has held numerous positions since joining the Mint in 2005, most recently as Senior Director of Operations where he helped grow Production volumes in Ottawa by over five-hundred percent and managed the production of coins and the athlete medals for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. He was the recipient of the President's Award in 2009 for his significant contributions to the Mint.
Prior to joining the Mint, Sean worked at BMO Nesbitt Burns and KPMG. He holds an MBA and Law degree from Dalhousie University.
