ROYAL CANADIAN MINT'S MASTERS CLUB PROGRAM
("MC PROGRAM") OVERVIEW
The MC Program is an exclusive loyalty program offered by the Royal Canadian Mint ("RCM") to the members of the Masters Club ("Masters Club Members"). The MC Program is a tiered program, where Masters Club Members are rewarded with increasing benefits. The following terms and conditions of the MC Program ("MC Program Terms and Conditions") govern the MC Program and shall be deemed to replace and take precedence over any other MC Program terms and conditions. The newest amendment to the MC program comes into effect on July 1, 2016.
There is no membership fee. A RCM customer automatically becomes a Masters Club Member upon purchase of $1,000 CAD (exclusive of any taxes) or more of RCM product(s). In order to take advantage of additional services offered to Masters Club Members, Masters Club Member will need to register with the RCM by opening an account at mint.ca/register. The Masters Club Membership will be in the name of the individual on that account or on the proof of purchase, as applicable, of $1,000 CAD (exclusive of any taxes) or more of RCM products in a given Program Year as defined below.
The MC Program is available to any individual or entity currently not participating in any other discount or rebate program offered by the RCM.
RCM products could be purchased directly from the RCM by phone, web (mint.ca), RCM mobile application or from one of RCM's retail locations in Ottawa, Winnipeg and Vancouver. In case of purchases of RCM product made in person, for an RCM product purchase to count towards their MC Program status, a customer or Masters Club Member must either: at the time of sale, indicate their intention to have the purchase count towards their MC Program status for the Program Year, or subsequently send in a copy of the proof of purchase to the RCM within the same Program Year as the purchase, with a request to have the purchase count towards their MC Program status.
Program Year. The qualifying period for a customer or an existing Masters Club Member, as applicable, to become a SILVER Masters Club Member, GOLD Masters Club Member, PLATINUM Masters Club Member, as applicable, begins on July 1 and ends June 30 of the following calendar year ("Program Year"). Subject to the MC Program Terms and Conditions, upon reaching one of the 3 tiers, the Masters Club Member will qualify for all benefits associated with that tier that are offered for the remainder of the Program Year in which he or she reached the tier and for the duration of the following Program Year. The Masters Club Member's status will renew for a subsequent Program Year if the Masters Club Member maintained the minimum purchase level for that status in the current Program Year. For example, a Masters Club Member who qualifies for GOLD status by November 1, 2016 will retain that status from that date through to the end of the immediately following Program Year, which is June 30, 2018. As of July 1, 2018, this Masters Club Member's status will be reset to the tier such Masters Club Member qualifies for, based on the retail value of any RCM product purchase(s) (exclusive of any taxes) made in the previous Program Year.
If a Masters Club Member purchases enough RCM products during a Program Year to reach a higher tier in that same Program Year, subject to the MC Program Terms and Conditions, the Masters Club Members will qualify for all the benefits associated with that higher tier that are offered for the remainder of the Program Year in which he or she reached the tier and for the duration of the following Program Year.
