Royal Canadian Mint is hiring a Canadian Coin Distribution Coordinator who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Canadian Circulation the Canadian Coin Distribution Coordinator is responsible for providing analytical and administrative services.  They will collect and analyze information; prepare reports; input data and transactions into various systems; reconcile and support Canadian coin distribution, coin recycling and ARP activities, in addition to providing ad hoc analysis as required.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with post-secondary education accounting preferred;
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience performing general accounting activities.
  • Experience reconciling spreadsheets, invoices and system data

 

Skills and Ability:

  • Ability to accurately report information required to produce various reports for the Department of Finance, financial institutions and various program stakeholders
  • Excellent ability to communicate in both official languages, verbally and written
  • Ability to reconcile purchase orders and establish the requirements to reimburse
  • Provide data entry, administration services and analysis for various Canadian circulation programs
  • Reconcile and balance inventory across all processing sites on a monthly basis
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to verify data against the original source to ensure information is correct
  • Skilled in providing a high level of accuracy, neatness and reliability
  • Ability to work independently and to work with others as a team
  • High level of integrity
  • Ability to motivate and maintain a positive work environment
  • Strong willingness to learn
  • Bilingualism required

 

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of DAX
  • Knowledge of Excel spreadsheet functionality to be able to process financial data
    • Experienced in filtering, sorting and organizing data with pivot tables
    • Experienced with excel formulas (i.e. IF statements, Vlookup, etc.)
