The Royal Canadian Mint is hiring a Senior Coordinator, Production who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
Under supervision and within the policies and procedures of the Mint, the Senior Coordinators are lead analysts for the Production Operations teams. They will be responsible for eliciting, analyzing, acquiring, and validating the changing business needs and translating those into reports and business processes. They will be able to communicate concerns and solutions with varying degrees of technical knowledge across IT and business teams. They will act as operations SME within IT circles and IT experts within operations circles. They will research new technologies to ensure operational efficiencies in both the physical and virtual environments. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining all of the Operations’ KPI metrics, providing analysis for critical business continuity, and supporting operations management team in making sound business decisions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrated leadership excellence and problem solving skills within a complex, fast paced, issue-diverse field.
- Ability to link high level goals with production capabilities, cascade to team, support executing, track and review results.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to collect, organize, and transform data into meaningful reports.
- Adept in data mining (esp. with data cubes), report writing and presenting findings.
- Successful experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Effective time management, process documentation and organizational skills.
- Takes initiative to achieve results consistently.
- Develop solutions that consider the impact on other aspects of the process.
- Possess superior communication skills (both verbal and written), with experience in presenting to Senior Management.
- Forward thinking and collaborative with excellent negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated work ethic, integrity and professional conduct.
- Persistent attention to detail, while maintaining an overall view of the situation
- English is essential, bilingualism is an asset
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in mathematics, engineering, statistics, computer science, business or equivalent education & experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a lean manufacturing environment, or technical product/service delivery environment.
Knowledge:
- High proficiency with the use of Microsoft Office Products, especially Microsoft Excel with Power Pivot, PowerBI, and ERP/MRP systems (esp. Microsoft Dynamic AX).
- Solid knowledge of computer programming (esp. Visual Basic, AX functions, Cube functions) for data acquisition and automated reporting.
