    Manager, Numismatic Campaigns

    20 years at the Mint

"The Mint is progressive and dynamic with an outstanding reputation around the world. It's exciting to work in an organization where excellence is commonplace."

    The job

Michelle Moisan is responsible for nurturing relationships with the Mint's numismatic customers. She oversees direct mailings to collectors and gift givers across North America. Over the course of her career she's been involved in the releases of the $2 coin and the first circulation colour poppy coin as well as coin launches celebrating everything from Canada's 125th anniversary to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic series.

    My day at the Mint

"My days all lead up to four major campaigns a year announcing the release of new collector coins. Every new coin has a story behind it. We tell those stories to our varied audiences—from new customers to die-hard collectors—satisfying their curiosity and piquing their interest."

What makes the Mint a great place to work

Michelle believes the Mint's collaborative work environment breeds both organizational and personal success. Everyone is encouraged to contribute and bring ideas to the table; no one's talents go to waste. "When an extraordinary new product is launched, there's a shared sense of ownership and pride among the entire team," she says.

The Royal Canadian Mint has been selected as one of Canada's Top 100 Employers for the fourth consecutive year.

    Michelle's pick

Although Michelle has many favourite coins, the Blessing of Wealth gold coin is at the top of her list because of its unique scallop shape and intriguing design.
