    Reporting to the Senior Manager Financial Planning & Analysis, Revenue and Cost, the Advisor, Bid Governance Foreign Business Line is responsible for the overall administration of the quoting process from receipt of invitation to tender to preparation of the cost, working in harmony with each department including Procurement, Production, Engineering, Engraving, Legal, and Treasury.  The Advisor will collect and verify their inputs and prepare costing which will be reviewed by the Senior Manager Financial Planning & Analysis, Revenue and Cost before forwarding to Senior Sales Managers for review and comments.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for coordinating the tendering process from receipt of the invitation to the presentation of the offer.
    • Interact on a regular basis with our stakeholders to develop pricing including all components of metal prices, manufacturing, engraving, insurance, finance costs, commissions, and shipping.
    • Actively work on improving the quality, accuracy and clarity of quotations and the information presented to senior management.
    • Perform proactive pricing analysis and market research to find opportunities to increase revenues, improve margins, and support the business line.
    • Assemble historical customer and pricing information of previous or similar quotes to support the strategy.
    • Collect and review Risks and their respective Mitigations, ensuring that they are clear, and do not conflict with the Sales strategy or other stakeholder's positions.
    • Ensure that our response meets the tender specifications and is delivered within the project timeline. 
    • Process documents as per ISO standards and internal methodologies.
    • Participate in the preparation of monthly reports, quarterly presentations, specific post-mortem analyses and special projects.
    • Assist the Manager, Quoting & Logistics in overseeing the application of the new process.


    • University degree or college diploma in Marketing, Sales or Finance, or relevant combination of education and experience.
    • 3 to 5 years experience in producing quotations, completing tenders or other relevant experience.
    • Knowledge of Banking Financial Instruments (e.g.: Bid Bonds) and INCO Terms.
    • Possess high level of detail orientation, mathematical aptitude, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel and Word.
    • Ability to work independently and take responsibility of a project.
    • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work under strict deadlines.
    • Possess effective time management and organizational skills.
    • Strong team player with an ability to establish effective cross-functional working relationships internally and externally.
