  • What is the Masters Club?
  • Established in 1998 to reward the Royal Canadian Mint's most loyal customers, the Masters Club includes collectors across Canada and the United States. Masters Club members are avid coin collectors who enjoy a number of benefits such as free shipping within Canada and the US, early access to RCM products, priority access to limited-edition coins and more!

  • How do I qualify for the Masters Club?
  • Masters Club membership is extended to customers who purchase $1,000 CAD (exclusive of taxes) or more of RCM products from the Royal Canadian Mint during a Program Year. An eligible purchase is counted towards Masters Club status once it has been invoiced to the customer. Individuals participating in any other discount or rebate program offered by the RCM are not eligible for Masters Club membership.

  • What is the program year?
  • As of January 1, 2020, a Program Year is the 365 day (or 366 day for a leap year) period from January 1 to December 31.

    Prior to July 1, 2018, a Program Year was the 365 day (or 366 day for a leap year) period from July 1 to June 30.

    The Program Year that began on July 1, 2018 was extended by 6 months and ran from July 1, 2018 to December 31, 2019.

  • How long is membership maintained?
  • Once you reach a Masters Club membership level during a Program Year, you will maintain that membership level for the remainder of that Program Year and for the following Program Year.

  • Is my Masters Club membership transferable?
  • No. The Masters Club is an individual member recognition program and is not transferable.

  • What are the benefits of the Masters Club Program and what are the differences between the five levels within the program?
  • Your Masters Club membership level determines rewards and benefits.

  • What are the levels of the Masters Club Program and how can I advance to the next level of membership?
  • Membership level is determined by your total purchases of RCM products from the Royal Canadian Mint (call centre, online at mint.ca, the RCM boutiques or the mobile application) during a Program Year. Should you reach a higher level during a Program Year, you will begin to enjoy the new Masters Club membership benefits right away, subject to any eligibility restrictions (such as eligibility deadlines for certain benefits). No need to wait for the next Program Year to start. Membership is achieved or renewed based on the following minimum purchase amounts during the Program Year:

    • SILVER level: $1,000 CAD (exclusive of taxes)
    • GOLD level: $1,500 CAD (exclusive of taxes)
    • PLATINUM level: $2,000 CAD (exclusive of taxes)
    • PLATINUM PLUS level: $5,000 CAD (exclusive of taxes)
    • PLATINUM PRESTIGE level: $10,000 CAD (exclusive of taxes)

  • How do I know if I qualify for the next membership level?
  • If your purchases reach the next level during the Program Year, we will notify you of said change and your membership will be automatically upgraded so that you can start enjoying the new benefits associated with the higher level right away, subject to any eligibility restrictions (such as eligibility deadlines for certain benefits). You may also log into your account here to check the status of your membership level or call our customer service agents at 1-800-267-1871.

    Membership is achieved or renewed based on the following minimum purchase amounts from the Royal Canadian Mint during the Program Year:

    • SILVER level: $1,000 CAD (exclusive of taxes)
    • GOLD level: $1,500 CAD (exclusive of taxes)
    • PLATINUM level: $2,000 CAD (exclusive of taxes)
    • PLATINUM PLUS level: $5,000 CAD (exclusive of taxes)

  • Can I track my account and see how close I am to the next level?
  • Yes. You can log into your account here to see your current level, how close you are to reaching the next level and your transaction history.

  • Do all my purchases count towards my membership?
  • Yes. All purchase of RCM products through the Royal Canadian Mint call centre, online at mint.ca, the RCM boutiques or the mobile application will count toward your membership level for the Program Year in which the purchase was made and will be applied to your account as of the invoice date. For a purchase made at an RCM boutique, you must indicate your intention to have the purchase count towards your Masters Club Program membership at the time of sale.

    Purchases applied toward your membership level for one Program Year do not carry over to the next Program Year.

  • Do purchases of non-coin products (such as coin accessories, collection cases, etc.) from the Royal Canadian Mint count towards my Masters Club membership?
  • Yes. All non-coin products purchased from the Royal Canadian Mint, can count towards your Masters Club membership.

  • Can purchases made at Royal Canadian Mint boutiques count towards my Masters Club membership?
  • Yes. All purchases of RCM products through the Royal Canadian Mint boutiques during a Program Year can count towards your Masters Club membership. You must indicate your intention to have the purchase count towards your Masters Club Program membership at the time of sale.

  • What happens if I return a product?
  • If you return a product to the Royal Canadian Mint, any free gift(s) received as a result of the original purchase must be returned along with the product(s). You may also lose your Masters Club membership, or move down to a lower membership level, if your total purchases during a Program Year drops below the applicable minimum purchase amount as a result of the return.

  • I live in the United States. Can I qualify for the Masters Club Program?
  • Yes. Residents of the United States can qualify for the Masters Club Program.

  • I live outside Canada and the United States. Can I participate in the Masters Club Program?
  • No. The Masters Club program is currently only available to residents of Canada and the United States.

  • What are Masters Club Exclusive Coins?
  • Each Program Year the Royal Canadian Mint will produce and launch a select number of exclusive coins for the Masters Club members. Each launch will follow the early access schedule.

  • Who is eligible for a free Masters Club coin?
  • Members who reach PLATINUM PLUS or PLATINUM PRESTIGE status before July 1 of a Program Year will receive one Masters Club coin for free (free coin to be selected by the Royal Canadian Mint at its sole discretion).

    Members who achieve PLATINUM PLUS or PLATINUM PRESTIGE status on or after July 1 will not receive a free coin for that Program Year, but will be eligible for one free coin from the special Masters Club coin collection of the following Program Year.

    There is a limit of one free coin per Program Year per Masters Club account.

  • What is Access to Low Certificate of Authenticity Numbers?
  • The Royal Canadian Mint certifies all of its collector coins. Most of these are serialized certifications, meaning that each certificate is given a unique number, starting at "1". This benefit gives Masters Club members access to the certificates 1-1,000 on when they purchase select coins. These low certificate numbers on select coins are often valued by many collectors and only available at the Royal Canadian Mint.

  • What are Masters Club Rewards?
  • EARNING MASTERS CLUB REWARDS

    PLATINUM, PLATINUM PLUS AND PLATINUM PRESTIGE members earn 1%, 1.5% or 2% (respectively) in Masters Club Rewards on the purchase of Eligible RCM Products from the Royal Canadian Mint (RCM) during a Program Year, up to a maximum reward value of $1,000 CAD. Products must be purchased from the RCM directly (i.e. call centre, online at mint.ca, the RCM boutiques or the mobile application).

    Unlike other Masters Club benefits, Masters Club Rewards are only earned in the Program Year that the member attained PLATINUM, PLATINUM PLUS or PLATINUM PRESTIGE membership. Masters Club Rewards will not be earned in a subsequent Program Year unless the member re-attains at least PLATINUM membership during that Program Year.

    REDEEMING MASTERS CLUB REWARDS

    Masters Club Rewards are distributed in the form of a redemption code. The redemption code value will be based on the member's total purchases of Eligible RCM Products from the RCM (before tax) during the applicable Program Year. Redemption codes will be sent to eligible members after the end of the applicable Program Year. Redemption codes can be applied towards the purchase of Eligible RCM products (excluding products referred to as subscriptions) through call centre, online at mint.ca, the RCM boutiques or the mobile application. The redemption code is valid for a single transaction only and expires December 31 of the issuing program year. Redemption codes have no cash value.

    For both earning and redeeming Masters Club Rewards: Eligible RCM Products are RCM products with the exception of: any and all regular circulation coin rolls, such as any roll of five-cent coins, ten-cent coins, and/or twenty-five cent coins as well as any roll of one-dollar coins and/or two-dollar coins; or any commemorative circulation coin products sold as circulation coins (for example: any commemorative circulation coin product sold at face value).
  • As a Masters Club Member, do I receive free shipping?
  • Yes. As a Masters Club member, you receive free shipping.

    The type of free shipping offered will depend on a number of factors including size and value of the product and the destination, and will be determined by the Royal Canadian Mint in its sole discretion.

  • A beautiful coffee table book featuring stunning photos and information on our complete Program Year numismatic collection.

  • Who is eligible to receive the Royal Canadian Mint Annual Collection book? NEW
  • The Royal Canadian Mint Annual Collection Book is published in accordance with demand from Masters Club members. Upon request, PLATINUM PRESTIGE members will receive the book for free. Upon request, PLATINUM PLUS members will be able to purchase the book at a discounted rate. Upon request, SILVER, GOLD AND PLATINUM members will be able to purchase the book at regular price. Each Program Year, the Masters Club program team will notify members and provide greater detail with respect to: (a) purchase price, (b) deadline for signaling your interest, (c) indicate any other pertinent information related to this benefit.

  • Will the Masters Club Program change?
  • We may decide to make changes to the Masters Club program in the future, including to address member feedback or manage operational requirements. We reserve the right to make future changes to the Masters Club program at any time and for any reason without prior notice to Masters Club members.
