                  Hi tamtam,

Yes the "Pure Silver Coin – Heart of Our Nation (2017)" coin is 27 milimetres in diameter so it will fit in the "27 mm Sterling Silver Pendant Necklace-Making Kit". Here's the link to the product page: http://www.mint.ca/store/coins/coins-prod2990011

I like the coin; however, I am disappointed with the failure to include a representation of one of our most recognizable icons and that is of the RCMP. I know that there has to be a selection process as not everything can be included on one coin. Nevertheless, I would think the boots and Stetson of the RCMP would have been a better choice than the toboggan or, maybe, could have replaced some of the lobster pots. The histories of Canada and the RCMP have gone hand-in-hand and the RCMP represent Canada coast-to-coast-to-coast.

Great comment Valerie! The artist had some challenges ensuring to capture as many icons on such a small surface and stay identifiable. If we ever do a coin that features multiple icons I will ensure to make this suggestion to my team.

I agree with last comment from Chris Jennings - I have been buying coins for years and was waiting for a spectacular silver coin - at least one ounce in value - I truly wish you had designed one for this 150th celebration for Canada - sadly to date - I haven't seen one that I feel truly represents this historic celebration.........and yes I would have thought there would have been at least one in the $50.00 for $50.00 - $100.00 for $100.00 or $200.00 for $200.00 range. It too has made me rethink my purchasing of coins and sadly, neither will I purchase this coin.
                Sincerely
                Joanne E. Brown/Paul W. Poehlmann

I have more of a comment but includes a question as well. We are celebrating this great country's 150th year and are producing such a small coin. I have been purchasing products
form you folks for years and appreciate your skills in the items. I would have thought that a coin of this significance would warrant a full ounce of silver and have a diameter size of 36-42 mm. and sell for $50-100. I have bought various 27 mm coins and accepted them for what they represented. I would love to purchase this coin, even at face value of $1 ,
and pay $100.00 if the specs were more suited to the importance it represents.
However , carry on with your routinely fine standards. Sadly I will not purchase this coin.
                Respectfully
                Chris Jennings

You can purchase a roll of Canadian Silver Maple Leafs via Ottawabullion.com That's what I'm handing out for Christmas presents this year. They are each 1 full ounce and for what you get (25 per roll) it works out to an affordable gift! The price is obviously "moving" (in keeping with the market). But not outrageously so. I will say from first-hand experience, that they are absolutely gorgeous. Both in size and elegant simplicity.
