The Mint is hiring an Advisor, Training who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment.

Reporting to the Director, Talent Management, this role develops and delivers training strategies, materials, and programs that support systems, processes, and business initiatives. Working closely with subject matter experts, change management professionals, and cross-functional teams, the Advisor ensures employees have the knowledge and tools needed to successfully adopt and use new technologies and ways of working.

The Advisor also designs, implements, and evaluates training solutions for a variety of corporate and operational programs, including enterprise systems, compliance training, cybersecurity, procurement, and other organizational learning needs.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct training needs analyses and develop comprehensive learning solutions, including instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, and train-the-trainer programs.
  • Design engaging, learner-focused curricula, courses, job aids, and training materials using adult learning and instructional design principles.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather content and ensure training aligns with business needs.
  • Recommend and implement effective training methodologies, technologies, and delivery approaches to support organizational initiatives.
  • Coordinate and manage external training providers and facilitate train-the-trainer programs as required.
  • Develop assessments, evaluations, and performance measures to gauge learning effectiveness and training outcomes.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), training rollout strategies, and change management initiatives to drive successful adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams in Ottawa and Winnipeg to deliver scalable, accessible, bilingual, and customer-focused learning solutions.
  • Track training metrics and key performance indicators to measure success and support continuous improvement.
  • Promote collaboration, innovation, and best practices in learning, development, and organizational effectiveness.

  

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring on-site presence at our Ottawa location three to five days per week, depending on meeting requirements and other activities.

Qualifications:

Languages Requirements:

Proficiency in both official languages (English / French) is required at the time of hire. If no qualified candidate fully meets the required proficiency, other linguistic profiles may be considered in accordance with the Mint’s Staffing Policy. The linguistic profile for this position is:

  • Reading Comprehension: C Advanced
  • Written Expression: B Intermediate
  • Oral Proficiency: C Advanced

  

Education & Designation:

  • University degree or certificate in related area or a combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered
  • Asset: Instructional design certification

  

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience designing, developing and delivering training for adult learners.
  • Experience developing training and instructional materials and leveraging Microsoft 365 tools, including PowerPoint, Word, Forms, Teams, Excel, and related applications, to support learning design, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Experience designing, storyboarding, and developing multimedia learning products, including e-learning modules and digital system walkthroughs, using tools such as Easygenerator, Articulate Rise/Storyline, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, or similar authoring and multimedia development software.
  • Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) systems such as Microsoft D365 (legacy Dynamics), Salesforce, SAP, or Oracle.
  • Experience managing projects
