The Mint is hiring a Business Development Advisor, Precious Metals who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
Reporting to the Senior Sales Manager, Precious Metals, the Business Development Advisor, Precious Metals supports the growth of the Mint's precious metals business through market insight, customer engagement, and commercial initiatives. Working closely with customers, industry stakeholders, and internal partners, the incumbent identifies business opportunities, develops tailored solutions, and contributes to the successful execution of sales and business development activities.
Your Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by monitoring precious metals market trends, customer needs, competitive activity, and industry developments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, financial institutions, dealers, and other stakeholders across the precious metals ecosystem.
- Develop tailored proposals and commercial solutions that support customer objectives and drive business growth.
- Participate in customer meetings, industry conferences, and business development activities in Canada and internationally, including engagement with participants in major precious metals markets such as New York and London.
- Gain exposure to global bullion markets, market dynamics, and industry practices, contributing insights that support commercial decision-making.
- Collaborate with Operations and internal partners to ensure the seamless delivery of products and services.
- Promote the Mint's precious metals products and services through presentations, proposals, and customer interactions.
- Contribute to sales growth through pipeline development, forecasting, account management, and market analysis activities.
- Coordinate commercial agreements and internal approval processes to support the timely execution of business opportunities.
- Respond to customer inquiries and deliver a high standard of service throughout the client experience.
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring on-site presence at our Ottawa/ Winnipeg location three to five days per week, depending on meeting requirements and other activities.
This selection process may also qualify you for other positions with similar requirements and qualifications.

Education & Designation:
- University degree or certificate in related area or a combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of related business experience.
Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge of investment and other financial concepts, ideally in a precious metals context
- Skill in communication of complex topics in terms that can be understood by those with varying degrees of familiarity with the information at all levels of seniority
- Proficiency with modern presentation and analytical tools
