The Royal Canadian Mint is hiring a Customer Experience Ambassador who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of day-to-day work activities under supervision and within the policies and procedures established by the Royal Canadian Mint. The incumbent must also provide informative, friendly and entertaining tours to visitors and promote the Royal Canadian Mint through the sale of its products.
Qualifications:

- Bilingualism is essential (English/French)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- College diploma and experience in a similar function.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in the tourism industry and/or in a retail environment.
- Customer service and sales experience is an asset.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the Royal Canadian Mint, its products and its markets.
- Guided tour and introduction techniques while greeting visitors.
- Use of computers and ability to operate cash registers and handle cash.
- Inventory replenishing and control.
Skills and Abilities:
- Book and organize guided tours.
- Lead guided tours in both official languages; display confidence with public speaking in groups of up to 30 people.
- Answer visitor inquiries and complaints professionally; find appropriate and efficient solutions to complaints.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and competent with selling and training techniques.
- Possess strong communication skills with positive teamwork attitude.
- Work well under pressure and comfortable with repetitive tasks.
- Write clearly and concisely in both official languages.
- Demonstrate initiative and sound judgment.
- Able to determine priorities and remain organized.
- Must be available to work Monday through Sunday with a flexible schedule.
The retail boutique and tours operate 7 days a week. Ambassadors must be prepared to work both weekends and holidays as required. Candidate will be scheduled based on operational requirements and expected to be available for the scheduled hours.
