The Royal Canadian Mint is hiring a Coordinator (1-year term), Corporate Secretariat who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
This position reports to the Director, Corporate Governance & Linguistics Services and supports compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements while leading the document preparation process and communications related to the Mint’s Board of Directors.
Your Responsibilities:
- Manages the document preparation process for all Board, committee and special meetings by aligning internal stakeholders using a defined methodology and schedule.
- Manages all Board communications by addressing inquiries and responding to official communications between Government entities, Board of Directors and Leadership.
- Supports the Board’s Governance and Nominating Committee by addressing specific governance and compliance matters as defined in its annual plan.
- Leads the ATIP, Parliamentary Inquiries, Themis reporting Board responses while maintaining the appropriate electronic and/or paper-based departmental and Board and Committee meeting files; diligently files records and ensure yearly storage of divisional records.
- Assists the Director, Corporate Governance & Linguistics Services with concrete actions to ensure the fulfillment of Board and Leadership expectations.
- Provides direct support to the members of the Board of Directors as well as the Corporate & Legal Affairs leadership team.
Qualifications:
- College diploma or certificate in related area or a combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered
- Minimum of 5 years of related business and administration experience
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Adobe)
- Strong knowledge of virtual Collaboration Tools such as Zoom, Skype and others
- Sound judgement, discretion, experience working with executives and Board members
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Bilingual (English and French) mandatory
