The Royal Canadian Mint is hiring a Customer Experience Ambassador who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of day-to-day work activities under supervision and within the policies and procedures established by the Royal Canadian Mint. The incumbent must also provide informative, friendly and entertaining tours to visitors and promote the Royal Canadian Mint through the sale of its products.
Qualifications:
Essential Requirements:
- Bilingualism (English/French) is essential
Education and Experience:
- Experience as a tour guide and/or in a retail environment.
- Experience in customer service and sales is an asset.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the Royal Canadian Mint, its products, its markets.
- Knowledge of guided tour techniques and of computers.
- Knowledge in the operation of cash registers and handle cash.
- Knowledge of inventory replenishing and control, and introduction techniques while greeting visitors, selling and training techniques.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to book and organize tours and determine priorities.
- Ability to apply sales techniques to analyze visitor inquiries and complaints and find solutions.
- Communicate with supervisors, colleagues and deal with visitors in an efficient manner.
- Work under pressure and carry on repetitive tasks.
- Write clearly and concisely in both official languages.
- Effectively and efficiently use a computerized system.
- Work within a team.
- Demonstrated initiative and judgment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; above average public speaking skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Good computer skills.
