Royal Canadian Mint is hiring a Project Manager – IT PMO who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment.

Reporting to the IT PMO Senior Program Manager, the Project Manager – IT PMO is responsible to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of company’s strategic business plans and identifies ways to add value in achieving corporate goals and objectives.
  • Manages IT projects and delivers within budget, scope and schedule.
  • Uses best practices and industry standards to improve IT project delivery.
  • Collaborates with other leaders on the agreed-upon process that develops plans and prioritization by Mint leadership.
  • Acts as key liaison between IT and other Business Teams to communicate priorities and provide regular reporting. Engages senior leadership and business partners to organize and communicate key deliverables.
  • Provides ongoing assistance and support to IT Leadership, project managers, business analysts, and other project team members.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with senior leadership and key corporate PMO stakeholders, and acts as a trusted advisor.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with subject matter experts in all fields of Information Technology and communicates the needs and best practice advice of the subject matter experts in business language.
  • Regularly reviews and evaluates opportunities to improve IT PMO best practices in order to achieve higher maturity in IT.

Qualifications:

  • University degree / College Degree in related area
  • Minimum of 10 years of related business experience or executive management role
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft D365 platform (including SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Teams, and Azure DevOps) and Visio
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • In depth knowledge of multiple facets of IT including IT Budgeting, IT Procurement, IT operations, Organizational change management, and analytics
  • Experience with budget management
  • Experience with data analysis
  • Extensive experience planning and leading strategic initiatives
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
