The Mint is hiring a Senior Manager, Product Management who can thrive in a dynamic, fast paced and inclusive environment.
Reporting to the Director, Product Management, the Senior Manager, Product Management is responsible for managing the product team that executes the development, execution, delivery, demand creation and management of profitable Royal Canadian Mint products. This includes leading product design, packaging and collaborating on integrated marketing plans, interfacing with Sales teams on product roadmaps, innovation direction with R&D and working alongside the NPI/NPD and Operations teams.
Your Responsibilities:
- Participates in the planning and delivery of the annual Product Portfolio, including the Numismatics and Bullion product plans and long-term product life-cycle strategic planning; while responding to the product needs of the other business lines.
- Work in partnership with extended Marketing team and Sales teams to develop and market products to satisfy specific channels or to develop new distribution partners and channels. Work closely with the Numismatic Sales team, including Senior Management to achieve strategic revenue and product development objectives on an annual basis.
- With the guidance of the Director, Product Development, participates in the completion of an Annual Business Review, recommending key business learnings and implications for the business. Apply key learning and implications from the business review to the development and execution of future and in-development marketing plans and products, as well as to inform the strategic direction of product portfolio.
- Work in collaboration with departmental managers including, New Product Introduction to develop production timelines, identify risks and obstacles, Research and Development to commercialize new innovations and opportunities, and Production to maximize on-time product delivery.
- Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and support, enabling team members to successfully deliver against business objectives. Conduct performance management activities, including goal setting, regular feedback, performance reviews, and development planning
- Support the development of strategies that enhance and grow customer and consumer relationships for increased profitability and sustainable growth, including customer development, product development, pricing strategies and, revenue and profit drivers.
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring on-site presence at our Ottawa location three to five days per week, depending on meeting requirements and other activities.

Education & Designation:
- University Degree or College Degree in a related area or an acceptable combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of related business experience
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive management experience
- Experience managing and/or leading a team of multiple staff
- Experience managing multiple portfolios and areas of accountabilities
- Experience presenting content for leadership consumption and approvals
