The Royal Canadian Mint is hiring a Senior Project Coordinator, IT PMO who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, IT PMO, the Senior Project Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the IT PMO and project teams regarding planning, control, and management of IT projects. The Project Coordinator will support IT and IT PMO by analyzing and tracking all resource, capacity, and budget needs. This includes liaising with qualified vendors to request, review, and interview internal resources, contingent labour, and consulting resources. The focus is to ensure project resource needs are effectively forecasted, reported on, and tracked.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Diploma in Computer Science is an asset or a combination of education and relevant work experience
- 5 years of work experience in project coordination or similar supporting coordination role
- Experience working directly with vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure project resource forecasting, an asset
- Experience planning and holding meetings with stakeholders
- Bilingualism is essential (English/French)
Skills and Abilities:
- Tracking and managing resource capacity for a department and for projects
- Tracking and managing project and departmental budgets
- Ability to coordinate several materials and presentations for Leadership audience
- Excellent process documentation and organization skills
- Possess superior communication skills with excellent ability to take minutes, and make live changes to documentation during presentations and meetings
- Development and adjustment of schedules
- Control and expedite flow of documentation and deliverables for PMO
- Strong analytical skills with ability to collect, organize, and transform data
- Analytical invoice tracking skills
- Ability to independently work with senior leadership with minimal oversight
- Understanding of team configurations, skills assessments, and interviewing
- Ability to develop a strategy to implement a capacity management approach
- Ability to stay organized with multiple projects and deadlines at once
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Outlook
- Knowledge and background in Information Technology
- Knowledge of project planning and control technics
- Knowledge of meeting logistics
