About the Design:
The reverse design by Canadian artist Greg Banning features an outdoorsman and his dog paddling the Bow River in Alberta, while Canadian Pacific's famed 2816 Empresssteam locomotive rides the tracks alongside the river. Rendered in exquisite detail, the image centersaround the canoe carrying the outdoorsman and his husky upstream the sparkling Bow River so the canoeist could see the beautiful scenery one last time. The two face away from the viewer, heading toward a right-turn bend in the distance. The man paddles ashis dog, standing at the bow, howls toward the train on the right side of the image. The train's steam rises from its engine, drawing the eye up toward the vast snowcapped mountains that dominate the background. Stylized conifers line the train track and river. The image is framed by an outer band engraved with maple leaves.
Packaging:
Your coin is encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint-branded maroon clamshell with a black beauty box.
