Exclusively designed by Canadian comic book artist Jason Fabok, the original art on the reverse features two members of the Justice League in an actionpose. With arms outstretched wide, the caped figureof Batman is followed closely bya flurry of bats in flight, and by the trident-wielding Aquaman behind him. Both arewearing alternate versions of their iconic costumes: Batman is attired in an upgraded costume equipped with tactical armour and goggles;in contrast, the tattooed Aquaman has eschewed fullgarb in favour of shoulder armour and forearm guards. Fabok’s artwork is brought to life by the rich, vibrant colours of Canadian colorist Brad Anderson, while a special colour application adds a water-like effect to Aquaman’s appearance and a leather-like effect to Batman’s costume. In the background, the frosted look of laser-engraved polygon shapes creates a“shattered glass” effect that adds to the feeling of movement within the design, while providing an element of continuity to all three 1 oz. coins in this collection. The reverse also features the engraved face value “20 DOLLARS” and the year “2018”. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.

Batman/Bruce Wayne’s quest takes him to adistant fishing village to meet Arthur Curry, a.k.a Aquaman. The trident-wielding hero with a “rough around the edges” exterior can certainly hold his own against Batmanand the others, with abilities that include super strength, marine telepathy and control over all things aquatic.
