The Royal Canadian Mint (The Mint) is hiring a Coordinator, Treasury, who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Treasury Operations, the Coordinator, Treasury, coordinates all cashflow information, ensures proper bank account monitoring and reporting, enters wire payments, maintains cash forecast in Kyriba and supports the bullion back office function.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- University degree or certificate in Finance
- Minimum of two years experience in corporate Treasury, and knowledge on cash forecasting
- Minimum of two years experience in using Financial and Treasury systems
- Minimum of two years experience in banking
- Experience in foreign exchange
- Experience in financial markets
- Proven problem-solving skills
Skills and Ability:
- Prepare and update daily and long-term corporate cash forecasts in Kyriba.
- Daily monitor and reporting of corporate bank accounts for anticipated cashflow activity.
- Prepare treasury wire payments, e.g. bullion, FX and metal purchase.
- Prepare monthly Treasury related management reports to assist management in Treasury related activities and strategy.
- Provide functional and operational support to the Manager and Director in all related Treasury functions and projects. Provide treasury related support to other operating areas of the Corporation including Finance, Sales, Production, Purchasing, Corporate Planning and others. Create ongoing awareness of cash and risk management opportunities by informing other internal groups on how to improve cashflow and identify currency and trade finance risks.
- Process shipping invoices.
- Confirm metal purchases with the banks.
- Bilingualism preferred
Knowledge:
- Proficient use of a computer and knowledge of the following: Dynamics AX (DAX)
- Knowledge in MS Excel, including pivot tables
- Knowledge in banking, foreign exchange, financial markets
