The Royal Canadian Mint is hiring a Program Coordinator, Wellbeing, Safety & Environment who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
Reporting to the Director, Environment, Safety, Employee Health and Wellbeing the Program Coordinator leads the development and management of Corporate Health and Safety & Environment’s (CHSE) administrative systems for the Ottawa & Winnipeg plant. As part of the CHSE team, this role directly supports, manages and coordinates meetings, training, program updates and events for the CHSE department.
Your Responsibilities:
- Leads the development and management of CHSE’s administrative systems and tools to control and track the flow of documentation, and to facilitate the preparation of responses to inquiries, management issues and initiatives;
- Manages, reviews, analyzes and coordinates follow-up and tracking for time-sensitive CHSE deliverables related to the environment, safety, employee health and wellbeing program documentation including strategic projects and WSIB/WCB cost reconciliations and ESDC annual reports.
- Proof reads and edits CHSE training materials, acts as the point of contact between HR and CHSE for training;
- Coordinates and assists with the delivery of training sessions, and ensures that records are kept as per the Record Management Policy;
- Manages the communication and facilitates the exchange of information, develops and adjusts schedules, resolves scheduling conflicts, prepares and distributes lists of participants, agendas and background information for workshops, meetings and events hosted by the CHSE team or in the spaces controlled by the team;
- Coordinates the medical surveillance testing and fit-testing for over 500 employees in the Ottawa and Winnipeg plants
- Maintains CHSE related systems (e.g MSDSOnline, Complyworks, SafetyHub, accident notifications, Near Miss & Hazard Reporting) and works with IT in the development of new IT solutions for the team
Qualifications:
- Relevant post-secondary education and or experience in project management, events management, data/document management or communications;
- A minimum of three (3) years related business experience;
- An interest in heath, safety and environment are necessary
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel);
- Sound knowledge of administrative procedures and practices specifically used in project management office settings;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Demonstrated attention to detail, and effective organization skills;
- Bilingualism (English & French) required
