  • A MINT FIRST! The first coin to feature a uniquely shaped niobium embellishment, which offers an artistic representation of an iridescent dragonfly on one ounce of pure silver.
  • EACH DRAGONFLY IS A UNIQUE PIECE OF ART! Handcrafted by jewellery artist Karen Hunter of Caledon, Ontario, your dragonfly-shaped niobium embellishment catches your eye with its blue and violet hues, which artfully mimic the dragonfly's iridescent appearance in the sunlight.
  • UNIQUE NIOBIUM EMBELLISHMENT! The niobium was exposed to electricity to produce a transparent oxide film that refracts light. Different voltages generate different thicknesses that, in turn, create different colours—and a totally unique dragonfly for you to enjoy!

  • LOW MINTAGE: Only 6,000 coins will be made available worldwide. Hurry and order yours today before they are all gone!

Handcrafted by jewellery artist Karen Hunter of Caledon, Ontario, a dragonfly-shaped niobium embellishment catches the eye with its blue and violet hues, which artfully mimic the dragonfly's iridescent appearance in the sunlight. The reverse design by Canadian artist Emily Damstra captures the beauty of a tranquil aquatic setting on a bright summer day. The dragonfly's graceful landing has set off gentle ripples in the mirror-like surface of the water, whose shine provides a beautiful backdrop for the frosted lily pad. This floating leaf is dotted with droplets of water that seem to glisten in the light, further adding to the life-like look and feel of the dragonfly's serene natural environment.

Your coin is encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint-branded maroon clamshell with a graphic beauty box.
