Singing is an integral part of First Nations cultures throughout North America—so integral in fact, that many Aboriginal languages don't have a word for "music." People sing day or night to thank Mother Earth for all her gifts; to express love; to heal the sick; to ask for a successful hunt; to seek guidance. Night is a particularly magical time for the K'ómoks and Kwakwaka'wakw First Nations in British Columbia as the community comes together to sing to the rhythmic beat of a drum. As masked dancers breathe movement into the song, the outside world falls away and the melody floats to the sky. Sound waves become moonlight and stars dance to reveal the inter-connectivity of all things.

A beautiful 3-coin set showcasing three beautiful finishes all in one set. Each coin is struck in ultra-high relief with extra-deep contours that have been carved into the coin's surface, which can only be achieved through additional strikes and extensive hand-crafting and polishing.
A gorgeous gift for someone who enjoys First Nations art. Order yours today before they're all gone!

Special features:
 • A FIRST! Your 3-coin set features three finishes (proof, antique and colour enamel) all in ultra-high relief—an original and captivating showcase of different visual effects to express one theme. Antique patina and colour enamel are applied by hand.

About the Design:
Renowned Canadian artist Andy Everson has created this coin’s bold and unique representation of a singing moon. The moon lights up the night sky as it sends its melodic voice in all four directions as depicted by the four oblong shapes positioned along its circumference. In response, the stars twinkle and dance, as represented by the dots and round contours between the oblong shapes. Every curve and detail is imbued with the rich artistic traditions of the K'ómoks and Kwakwaka'wakw First Nations in British Columbia.

Each coin is encapsulated individually and the set is presented in a Royal Canadian Mint-branded wooden box with black beauty box.

I do not know whether I have the regular set or the PP set. In fact I do not know what the PP designation means despite looking it up. THIS looked gorgeous when I first saw it, but turned out to be even better than it looked online. When I held each coin in my hand to scrutinize up close, I found them to be WOW-Beautiful in every way. One of the best original-style groupings in my vast collection of global coins.

Great addition to the collection

I bought this set to add to my collection. I really liked the sets unique design and the low mintage was a bonus.

Attractive unique set

A high quality set with a low mintage and in high demand is both excellent choice for a gift or as an investment. Although the cost may be high for some, considering that it is 3 coins, the per coin cost is very reasonable.

I'm a believer now

I was skeptical about buying this set but now I really like it. The high relief makes it different. I spent a little time comparing the differences in the masks. The coin with the red enamel looks better in my hand compared to the photos; sometimes the coin doesn't look like the photo but it goes the other way with this on. And I have recommended this set to others.

This is a set that will be handed down to one of three grandchildren. Each will have something to hold on to as investment or hand down to their children, as I will do. Canadian I have found to have quality coins and quick helping with problems. I find that other mint's do not have the quality and pricing

Extremely nice set everyone I've shown it to were impressed

I was not sure about it at first and did not order one. But over the week I was drawn back to look at it and finally ordered one. When it arrived I could see how it fascinated me. Among the small range of coins that lift the RCM out of tedium.

I got this for my 55th birthday. I love these coins, while it's the same design on all three, you see different things. Comes in a wooden box. Really nice, I highly recommend.

Fine Silver Ultra-High Relief 3-Coin Set – Singing Moon Mask – Mintage: 3000 (2015)

Why are there 2 different sets and what does "PP" stand for? I thought there were only 3000 in total. Confused.

Thank you for your question. The PP is short for Payment Plan and is essentially a place-holder product (not a real product) so that some people may purchase the product using the setup payment plan option.
