Designs:

The Flying Loon
The reverse features a reproduction of the design that graced the proof and specimen dollar coins issued in 1997. To commemorate the 10th anniversary of Canada's 1-dollar circulation piece, Canadian artist Jean-Luc Grondin offered his own take on the iconic reverse by depicting the loon taking flight. Reverse gold plating fills the field while the coin's silver surface draws the eye to the engraved relief, which includes the words “CANADA” and “DOLLAR”, and the date “2019”. The reverse gold-plated obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.

25-Cent Piece
The reverse features Canadian artist Emanuel Hahn's iconic right-side profile of a caribou with majestic antlers. Reverse gold plating fills the field while the coin's silver surface draws the eye to the engraved relief, which includes the word “CANADA”, the face value “25 CENTS” and the date “2019”. The reverse gold-plated obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.

10-Cent Piece
The reverse features Canadian artist Emanuel Hahn's iconic image of a stylized schooner with tall sails flying as it sails the open sea. Reverse gold plating fills the field while the coin's silver surface draws the eye to the engraved relief, which includes the word “CANADA”, the date “2019” and the face value of “10 CENTS”. The reverse gold-plated obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.

5-Cent Piece
The reverse features British artist G.E. Kruger-Gray's iconic image of the right profile of a beaver standing on a rock surrounded by water. Reverse gold plating fills the field while the coin's silver surface draws the eye to the engraved relief, which includes the face value of “5 CENTS”, the word “CANADA” and the date “2019”. The reverse gold-plated obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.

50-Cent Piece
The reverse features Canadian engraver Thomas Shingles's Canadian Coat of Arms design. A lion holding a Union Jack flag on the left and a unicorn holding a flag bearing three French fleurs-de-lys on the right support a central shield pided into five sections bearing historical emblems of England, France, Scotland, and Ireland, as well as a sprig of three maple leaves. The shield is encircled with a ribbon representing the Order of Canada bearing the motto desiderantes meliorem patriam, which means “desiring a better country.” The shield is surmounted by a royal helmet within a garland of maple leaves, upon which stands a crowned lion holding a maple leaf. St. Edward's Crown, symbolizing Canada's constitutional monarchy, rests above the lion, which symbolizes Canada's sovereignty. The motto a mari usque ad mari (“from sea to sea”) appears in a ribbon below the shield, along with a “compartment” or garland composed of the floral emblems of England, Scotland, France, and Ireland. Reverse gold plating fills the field while the coin's silver surface draws the eye to the engraved relief, which includes the word “CANADA”, the date “2019” and the face value of “50 CENTS”. The reverse gold-plated obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.

2-Dollar Piece
The reverse features Brent Townsend's image of an adult polar bear standing on an ice floe, gazing out over the early summer Arctic landscape. Reverse gold plating fills the field while the coin's silver surface draws the eye to the engraved relief, which includes the word “CANADA”, the date “2019” and the face value of “2 DOLLARS”. The reverse gold-plated obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.

1-Cent Piece
The reverse features G.E. Kruger Gray's iconic maple leaf twig. Reverse gold plating fills the field while the coin's silver surface draws the eye to the engraved relief, which includes the word “CANADA”, the year “2019” and the face value of “1 CENT”. The reverse gold-plated obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
