The Royal Canadian Mint is hiring a Sales & Customer Service Representative who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
This position reports to the Manager, Customer Solutions Centre and is responsible for processing customers’ orders; up-selling customers to purchase additional products; converting information calls into sales and assists customers by providing information on RCM products, account status and shipment status.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze problems and situations and find solutions
- Organize workload and determine priorities
- Communicate with supervisors, work within a team and deal with customers in an efficient and professional manner
- Work under pressure and carry out repetitive tasks, effectively and efficiently using a computerized order entry system
- Answer inquiries through answering telephone calls, chats and emails
- Participate in surveying customers and collecting information
- Assist customers navigate the RCM website
- Perform outbound calling as required for various campaigns in an effort to increase sales numbers and performs administrative tasks related to the customer service division
Requirements
- High school diploma or experience in a similar function.
- Three (3) years recent experience in a call centre position and/or experience in customer service/relations.
- Previous sales experience is required.
- Experience with social media and online chat is an asset.
- Excellent understanding of RCM market and products, of sales techniques especially telesales,
- Write clearly and concisely in both official languages.
- Apply sales techniques and excellent interpersonal skills when answers incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner with above average communication skills.
- Good writing, computer and typing skills (60 words/minute).
- Bilingualism (English/French) mandatory.
The hours of work for this position are normally shifts between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on weekdays. Employees will work on a shift rotation. Times of these shifts are subject to change and other shifts could be required (continental workweek) at times as per operational requirements.
