Accurately drawn from Vikings characteristics of that time, the ship, clothes, weapons, andutilities reflect historical characteristics. Contemporary accounts suggest it was a Norse merchant whofirst spotted the shores of New World in the late tenth century. In 1960, archaeologists unearthed a small Viking camp in Newfoundland’s L’Anse aux Meadows, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
