The reverse design by Canadian artist Clinton Jammer features a youngblack bear cub with its mother in a natural setting. A three-quarter profile of the bear cub provides aview of its features, from the soft facial expression down to the cub's paws. The cub is seated infront of a salmonberry plant; both engraved elements are enhanced by the use of selective colouring which vividly recreates their colouring in the wild. Onthe left side of the cub, the sow appears from beyond the image and is rendered in fine detail by expert engraving.
