About
Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Star Trek with Captain Kirk! Order today!
"Its five-year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before."
– Captain James T. Kirk
From warp drives to transporters, U.S.S. Enterprise (NCC-1701) has offered us an exciting vision of what space travel could entail in the 23rd century. She is perhaps the most famous (albeit fictional) spacecraft of our time—a Constitution-class starship manned by a 428-member crew and capable of travelling through space at remarkable warp speeds. Sailing into Starfleet history, her five-year mission under the command of Captain James Tiberius Kirk (played by Canadian actor William Shatner) made legends of both the ship and hercaptain.
Kirk is renowned for exploits and a record number of first contacts, which have earned him accolades and honours. His reputation as an independent thinker and unorthodox problem-solver may involve "putting aside" regulations in order to do what's right for the greater good, but even this has earned him the respect of some of his foes (Balance of Terror). As a testament to his leadership skills, Kirk has formed lifelong friendships with many who have opted to remain with him and serve under his command, including those whose opinions he values most: Dr. Leonard McCoy and Mr. Spock. While TV viewers have been privy to the character's many romantic relationships, Kirk has never married—his true passion always lies with his career and his beloved Enterprise.
Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Star Trek—a television series that is beloved bygenerations of Canadians, and whose vision of the future helped inspire innovation in our time! Order today before they're all gone!

The two elements casually overlap the outline of Starfleet's Delta ShieldInsignia engraved in the background.
Did you know…
- Captain Kirk's birthdate of March 22 is the same as the actor who portrays him: William Shatner was born on March 22, 1931 in Montréal, Quebec.
- Captain Kirk earned the distinction of being the youngest captain in Starfleet history.
- Not quite as honourable: Kirk also holds therecord for most temporal violations (17) during his frequent time travels, when his actions have altered the timeline (although some were "erased" by actions that restored the timeline).
- In the 1967 episode Court Martial, Kirk was the first Starfleet captain to face a court martial when he stood accused of causing the death of Lt. Commander Ben Finney; Kirk was later exonerated when Finney was found to be alive and had faked the evidence.
- One of Kirk's most famous nemeses was introduced in the 1967 episode Space Seed. The leader of a group of genetically engineered Augmentsfrom Earth, Khan Noonien Singh revived his cryogenically frozen shipmates then attempted to steal the Enterprise, until Kirk foiled his plans and exiled the group on the planet Ceti Alpha V.
