Designed by artist Vanessa Miller, your coin features anarrangement of leaves from four of Canada’s native maples: the bigleaf maple (Acer macrophyllum), red maple (Acer rubrum), sugar maple (Acer saccharum), and at the centre, the Manitoba maple (Acer negundo). Together, they form the outline of a larger maple leaf in a symbolic representation of a diverse Canada. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
