Designed by Three Degress Creative, your jewellery-themed coin features multiple layers of geometric shapes engraved in ultra high relief. The arrangement is an artistic interpretation of a diamond's brilliance; it was inspired by the 0.20 ct. square-cut Forevermark diamond embedded at the centre of the design.The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.

"Modelling an ultra high relief coinis always a challenge. To ensure the coin can be easily released from the die inside the press, the engraver has to add a draft (angle) to the relief. But controlling the draft becomes a constant battle since it spreads considerably as the relief climbs higher. Also, the pocket for the diamond is quite deep on this coin. We decided to cut as a direct die instead of cutting a matrix (negative image) then hobbing a punch (positive image) and a die (negative image). • Opened in 2008, the Victor Mine was Ontario's first commercial diamond mine. The open pitmine is located in the remote James Bay lowlands, near the coastal community of the Attawapiskat First Nation. It was known for producing diamonds of exceptional clarity.
