About
Features a 'W' mint mark signifying your gold coin was struck in our Winnipeg facility! Order today!
The Royal Canadian Mint first entered the global bullion coin market in 1979 with its Gold Maple Leafbullion coin. At the time, the worldwide quality standard was 99.9% purity. Canada's bullion coins immediately set themselves apart on the world stage for its purity—other metal alloys were absent in our bullion. Four years later, the Mint set a new global standard, a 99.99% pure Gold Maple Leaf bullion coin. In 2007, the Mint again raised the bar by adding the world's first 99.999% pure gold to its famous Maple Leaf family of bullion coin. Today, our bullion coins are renowned not only for their purity, but also their unrivalled security features.
The classic Gold Maple Leaf as you've never seen it before! Order today!

Design:
The reverse design for this coin reproduces the maple leaf design of Master Engraver Walter Ott from the original 1979 Gold Maple Leaf bullion coin. To this day, this design remains in use on all Maple Leaf bullion coins. The reverse also features a "W" mint mark to the left of the leaf stem, indicating that this numismatic coin was struck at ourWinnipeg facility rather than in Ottawa, where numismatic coins are typically struck. The obverse includes the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
