Own the 2023 Collector’s Edition coins by the roll—it’s easy with this set.
As we focus our attention on commemorating the reign of Queen Elizabeth II (1952-2022), the Mint will not be issuing any 2023-dated Canadian circulation coins featuring both the traditional reverse designs and an obverse featuring Queen Elizabeth II. Instead, we are offering a collector’s edition of these annual issues, and this set gives you a Special Wrap Roll of each denomination: $2, $1, 25¢, 10¢ and 5¢, for a total of five rolls.
The 2023 Collector’s Edition Special Wrap Roll Collection contains non-circulation coins only—coins designated as collectibles, so they’re not meant to be found in your pocket change. Every Collector’s Edition coin in this set features the transition obverse that pays tribute to Queen Elizabeth II, as we mark the end of a reign—and the end of an era in Canadian coins.
A limited opportunity to get five denominations of 2023 Collector’s Edition non-circulation coins.
Special features
- Specially for collectors. Each Special Wrap Roll is made up of non-circulation coins. An exceptional issue, these coins are exclusively available as part of the Annual Gift Sets, the Collector’s Edition Coin Set, and the Special Wrap Roll Set featured here. Also available: a Special Wrap Roll of 50-cent coins.
- Holographic label. Each roll is sealed with a holographic label—an extra touch to make this a more memorable collecting experience.
- Classic presentation. The five Special Wrap Rolls in this set are presented side-by-side inside a presentation case.
- Limited collectible. Only 7,000 sets are available to collectors worldwide.
Transition obverse
Each coin’s obverse is double-dated (“1952-2022”) to commemorate the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. It is also marked by four pearls symbolizing the four effigies that have graced Canadian coins during that time.
Royal purple wrap
Coins of each denomination are grouped together and wrapped in a special commemorative paper wrap marked by a royal purple design element. This serves as a visual tribute to Queen Elizabeth II, and it distinguishes this offering from other Special Wrap Roll Sets.
