The years “1976” and “2026” commemorate the 50th anniversary of its opening to the public. Under UV black light, the CN Tower is illuminated in Canada’s national colours—red and white—and shines as a proud emblem of Toronto, a testament to Canadian engineering, and a beacon of national pride. The obverse features an encircling line pattern echoing the CN Tower’s vertical rise and Toronto’s dynamic skyline, and the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Canadian artist Steven Rosati.
